There was nothing we didn’t like.

From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel welcome and at home. The property has been very lovingly and stylishly decorated, with a very personal touch. The place Piper and Terence created is very special. We have traveled extensively in the UK and stayed in many guest houses, but this has far surpassed anywhere else. The room was spacious, beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. Any condiment you could wish for was provided. The bed was super comfortable. Breakfast was amazing. We also got some great tips on where to go for some breathtaking scenery and recommendations for a top Thai restaurant. We were sad to leave and can’t wait for our next stay, when we’re hoping to try out the hot tub and sauna.

Beautiful property, the hosts were absolutely fantastic and very helpful. The breakfast room is quaint and set up to the standard you would see at a posh restaurant with gorgeous china. The breakfast menu is super and includes something for everyone. The bedroom we stayed in was lovely too with lots of attention to detail. Highly recommend The Devonian and we will most definitely be staying again.

It was perfect!

We enjoyed every aspect of our stay in Piper and Terence’s wonderful B&B. They have put so much thought into everything to make sure that our stay was as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. The house is beautifully decorated and immaculately kept inside and out! The gardens are stunning and we felt like we were up in the trees in our room which overlooked the garden. The breakfast was one of the best I have had (try the smashed avocado and hummus on doorstep toast!). Terence and Piper are the perfect hosts and are more than happy to tell you about the local area. We will most definitely be back!

The Devonian is a lovely warm and welcoming place and that is down to the host's who can not do enough for you. The accommodation was great, large clean and comfortable, in easy reach of town/sea front. Breakfast was great and cooked to order. Will have no problem recommending this accommodation we loved our stay.

Terence and Piper really do go the extra mile to make sure their guests are comfortable and looked-after. Bedrooms are exceptionally well-appointed with everything you could wish for. I hear there is also a hot tub and sauna although we weren't here long enough to try these. Due to compromised health I need to be extra careful, and Terence and Piper kindly provided breakfast early for us before the rest of the guests arrived so we could eat alone. Will look forward to staying again next time we are in the vicinity. Many, many thanks for your kindness and attention.

Amazing property. Beautifully decorated, equipped with everything you need. Terence and Piper were more than accommodating and made sure we had everything for our stay. Breakfast the next day was perfect and Terence provided us with a lovely route for the next leg of our journey so that we would be able to drive along the North Devon coast. Brilliant stay!

Piper and Terence who own and run the Devonian were excellent hosts who were always ready to help in any way they could. Breakfasts were very tasty with more than enough food. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and recommend this to anyone wanting to be spoilt.

The most warm welcome to a home from home. Exquisitely decorated rooms, an adorable garden and the best home cooked breakfast. Even had a nespresso machine in the room. Very quiet, slept wonderfully and yet within a ten minutes walk to the seafront.
