Very noisy throughout the night with people moving around and a fire alarm at 7am wasn’t great! Made it difficult to sleep well.

Could have done with a king size bed rather than just a standard double.

Familiarity with area and with establishment. Breakfast was very good. Able to take our dogs with us in rooms.

Had a ground floor room and when the guests above moved around it was like they were walking on bare floor boards - so loud. Lucky we got guests that only got up twice in the night.

The only dislike was the amount of bugs in the room. None of them were the harmful kind (nothing sinister, just some local flying bugs) but it was still frustrating to encounter during a trip that was supposed to be relaxing. I hate bugs. I also found a daddy long legs in the shower, so that wasn't relaxing either. I'd say they need to invest in better pest control all around.

What a cozy little inn! It felt like being given a warm hug, and it helps that the staff were also lovely and welcoming. Pretty clean too, although the mattress wasn't the most comfortable and the room does show its age. Lots of counter space in the bathroom to spread out toiletries and share with another person. Also, the location is fantastic for visiting Chatsworth - about a 7 minute drive. We thought we'd be able to walk there but unfortunately the nearby entrance is blocked off, so we drove.

You need to have bar staff that know what a “Bloody Mary” is !! The plumbing in our room was poor The pressure was very poor ( I gather that the central pump is turned off at night because of the noise it makes) At 0.730 trying to take a shower was not a good experience I expected better for the amount charged for an overnight stay

The pub, restaurant & bedrooms were great typical English country pub. All the staff were really friendly & helpful.

The bed personally for me wasn't too comfy. I would prefer to have a small fridge within the room to keep my own soft drinks and snacks chilled as the room was very warm with not much air circulation. Feel like the bar could have stayed open a little later in the evening, especially at the weekend. However, i would stay here again and these small points wouldn't deter me from returning

The breakfast was exceptional with a good variety of choice. If breakfast started earlier that would have been even better. Great location for where I needed to be. Friendly staff throughout

Bed super comfortable. After a difficult journey, where at short notice we had cancelled due to a breakdown. Then when the vehicle was fixed staff had waited on site to welcome us. Staff polite and helpful in the morning also tried to help fix my phone. Excellent breakfast, plenty to eat.
