Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThis is my second stay, I was much less impressed compared to the previous stay. This time we had a family room so a double and bunk beds. Room had a bad view and needed TLC e.g. rust, dirty walls, bunk bed was not sturdy! and small room. No bath either this time, just a shower. Breakfast was ok. My boy was a little upset as if you book via booking.com you don’t get a build a bear; which he saw other kids get. The toy and book area needs updating as missing parts so unable to actually use the chess etc.
Pool and sauna, I’d recommend going later in the evening as it’s quieter. Like the reception area, plenty of comfy sofas and a nice little touch of the staff putting out cookies and milk for the kids; my boy loved that. Beds were comfy. Staff were all lovely. Great location.

The hotel location was excellent. Stunning views over Fistral beach. The food in the hotel restaurant was delicious! Great facilities for the kids when the weather wasn't so good. The staff were all super friendly and attentive.

United KingdomThis is a 3 star hotel at most. I think the hotel itself could do a lot better with what they’ve got. Where do I start… Awful full English breakfast, our dog ended up having it all. If you have a dog and have breakfast in the reception area NOBODY comes to ask you what you want for breakfast. We had to get up and look for someone every time we needed cutlery, coffee. Etc. The avocado on toast was also a joke, it was the smallest bit of bread I’ve ever had. Coffees were also paid extra, another joke!!! And the worse is that they charge £25 per person for this lol. We were aware it is not an adults only hotel but if we had known there would be so many families and kids running around we wouldn’t have stayed here. We couldn’t even use the pool area because it was full of screaming kids everywhere. It was meant to be a relaxing holiday for us and was not relaxing at all. We stayed for 3 nights and couldn’t sleep well for 2 of them because above us there was a family who were up at 4 in the morning and made SO much noise it kept us up all night/morning. We were moved to a different room only to find it was not under these people but next to them!!! Complete joke. The building is old and all floors are squeaky. Charging £15 extra per night for a dog was also not acceptable. We were expecting so much more of this hotel and was mostly a disappointment. The bar was meant to be adults only and that’s the one place where we were looking to spend most of the time inside the hotel (as a couple) to then find there were families in there. Don’t know why they were not informed by the bar staff they couldn’t be there. Also, drinks took AGES, not enough bar staff and nobody looking after the fire which is definitely the main attraction in there. Wouldn’t go back
The bar and restaurant were nice. The family room was spacious. Good location

United KingdomThe heating was either very hot or cold. The walls are so thin I could hear the man next door snoring. I think it's silly they take a 50 pound deposit from you, even though its already quite pricy. Which I still haven't had back. The signal was hit or miss. The food was very expensive. The sauna wasn't working correctly, the jacuzzi is tiny for the size of the hotel and the swimming pool could do with a little clean.
The view from the front of the hotel is great. Right next to a huge beach. The swimming facilities are open till 9pm so you have alot of time to enjoy a swim or jacuzzi. The bed was huge.

United KingdomFood, service at the restaurant. Was my second time there, i loved it for the first time and i invited a group of 16. But this time disappointed. Food was not good at all apart from wine and deserts. Steak was tasteless, duck salad was really bad . We paid a bill of 800 pound for the dinner, We should have been more happy from that visit. I use to love the place but not anymore... to go to the swimmig poole we waited 30 min becouse was busy, when we went there just 4 guys. Anyway they could do better.
Swimming poole, and facilities.

United KingdomThere isn’t anything to dislike about the hotel
The hotel was amazing and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and were very accommodating. The location was perfect as we were able to have breakfast and lunch with a sea view. The facilities at the hotel were excellent and we are going to book again to bring our children as there was lots for them to do.

United KingdomBeing next door to a barking dog wasn’t the best but obviously understanding that people take dogs away , but think they should keep dogs and family’s on a separate floor maybe
What I liked is how everything you needed was in the hotel and you really didn’t need to move or leave unless you wanted a sea swim or costal walk

United Kingdom- Wasn’t very clean. - Bed was small and uncomfortable. - Rooms are too hot. - The rooms are small and nothing like the advertisement. - The rooms need more love. - The view of the mouldy roof really wasn’t very appealing. - Felt like a hotel that was nice when it was first built but is now lacking love, care and attention. - Completely overpriced for what it is. I paid a lot of money to stay here and was so utterly disappointed. - £50 damage deposit - I have never heard of such a thing in any hotel I have stayed in. Utterly absurd and definitely a ploy to make you spend more money in the hotel.
The hotel has an excellent location, right by the beach and a short walk to town. The cocktail bar is really nice and brilliantly decorated.

United KingdomAt breakfast there was nearly every table full of dirty plates and cutlery and was slow to fill up all the continental stuff meaning waits of 10 mins for toast while breakfast was going cold and as our son is a very fussy eater he had to wait over 20 minutes for the pastries to be re filled. Drinks menus are wrong and guiness is from a can not surge, also items appear wrong on billing but not a biggy
Great management and really child friendly.
