The pool, not very big. Floor of pool was uneven and quite slippery. View from room was poor.

Low pressure water in shower. Beds quite hard. Restaurant Tables could have been cleaned better.

I didn't like the annoying guests upstairs jumping and running around their room. I rang reception, they said they'd send someone to knock on their door. The problem is lazy parents and kids who are full of energy and ready to start the day. The parents ought to get up and get moving.

Not enough parking at hotel, although there were spaces outside hotel it was very busy so difficult to get a spot although we did manage to find one.

Great location right opposite beach. Friendly atmosphere and staff upon arrival. Good sized clean rooms. Great facilities for kids. Dinner was good but maybe a bit pricey. Breakfast was ok, poached eggs tasted a bit bland and arrived super quickly after ordering so barely got a chance to eat the food we had selected from buffet.

Whilst amazing views, the beach access is challenging from the hotel when walking with small children. Either via narrow steps which enter at a tide-restricted section of the beach or a slightly perilous cliff-edge footpath with steep access to the beach-front. The parking around the hotel is free, but also incredibly busy during the day, and the hotel car park is narrow with limited spaces (which they do explain to you via email in advance). It would be ideal if there was a designated loading/drop off area, as we had to park quite far from the hotel.

All the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the hotel itself had a nice, comfortable room with a good bathroom/shower, stocked full of toiletries. It had a useful, small fridge and ample Cornish teas and coffees. There is access to decent on-site facilities (swimming pool, sauna, kids play areas), and the hotel has exceptional sea views looking over the beautiful Fistral Beach. The restaurant is spacious and has a well-stocked breakfast spread with a good range of gluten free options, which the staff were very happy to accommodate for. We felt well taken care of throughout the stay.

Restaurant staff didn’t even acknowledge us sat at breakfast for 45 minutes and still didn’t get served so we left and went elsewhere even when we paid for breakfast!

For a dog friendly hotel it was spotless not having an animal ourselves I’d ask for a room where animals are not allowed as the carpet in our room had an animal odour from it.
