Everything about the place was fabulous… we had a small issue with other guests using the speaker function in their phone the whole way through dinner in the restaurant… staff were clearly embarrassed but didn’t feel they could ask the people to take the call elsewhere. After 15 mins we decided we’d had enough and left. We did ask to see the manager and he dealt with the guests immediately… but it was a shame the lovely waiting staff felt they couldn’t deal with the lack of consideration themselves. Other than that was excellent !

Great location, on a main road, so rooms at the front a bit noisy with traffic, but earplugs supplied… and to be honest you are staying at an old coaching house so obviously it is on the road!!! No problem at all if the window is shut!!

I've stayed here many times before for work. The rooms are pretty much always great, the staff are brilliant and the food and bar is very good. I love the little touches in the room like nespresso coffee and sloe gin, they even bring you fresh milk and water in the morning by your door.

The room was immaculate. The facilities for Nel, my Yorkshire Terrier, were first class. The shower was awesome. The staff were friendly and loved Nel. First class will definitely stay again.

If there was anything at all the room we stayed in was quite small.

Great staff - friendly, welcoming & helpful. Lovely room - really liked the decor, comfortable bed, quality toiletries - had a great sleep. Had a very good evening meal - very nice restaurant & bar, delicious food. Would definitely eat & stay there again.

Possibly because of the season or casual staff, the bar area could have been kept tidier and more welcoming. No real problems for us, but it could have been made quite a special area with a little thought.

Outstanding welcome from the management and really diligent service - we stayed between Christmas and New Year for a family wedding and were made to feel very well looked-after.

The rooms are stylish and comfortable. With complimentary tea, coffee, water and gin! I stay at The Hare & Hounds regularly when travelling alone for work, and always feel comfortable in the hotel and the bar/restaurant. Rooms and food are all delivered to a high standard. Cannot recommend this hotel highly enough.

We stayed in the suite and it was fantastic - beautifully decorated, huge king sized bed and a lovely copper bath in the corner of the room. Dinner and breakfast were both great, and the staff were really accommodating at all times. Would definitely recommend. Lots of good walks nearby as well, up towards Donnington Castle.
