The hotel was beautiful inside and out, very clean and our room was absolutely beautiful. Breakfast was amazing with so much to offer. Staff are very polite and friendly.

The staff are friendly and helpful. John, the one we met when we checked-in, shared lots of helpful information about the local area which made our trip quite efficient and memorable. Breakfast is inclusive and it is exceptionally good. The complimentary cake is also super delicious. The room is clean and cozy. Good amenities. They are quite generous with complimentary tea and coffee provided. Lots of different options or flavours for tea bags and coffee including decaf. All are fair trade products which I am really impressed. Very good value for money. Located in a short walking distance from town centre.

The only issue was the water pressure in the showers. But other than that fantastic stay.

The atmosphere and idyllic surroundings. The staff were amazing from first walking in. The 11am check-in made our stay so much more special. Food was spot on and possibly had the best night's sleep in a long time.

A bar downstairs for something to do in the late evening would have been great, but there were plenty of pubs nearby anyway

I have no negatives towards the property or our overall stay.

We loved everything about the property, we stayed to celebrate my 21st birthday and everything was perfect from the little treats they left for my birthday to the gorgeous building itself (including the most comfortable bed). It was extremely convenient for walking and short drives to Ambleside, Grasmere and Bowness. The breakfast lived up to the high expectations, it was delicious and the cleanliness was superb, and finally the staff were amazing and helped with any questions or little extras you may need.

The location was perfect for easy access to Windermere Town and transport to the lake. John and staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Breakfast was amazing with lots of local ingredients and the portion size means you can skip lunch 😀. The welcome of delicious freshly made cake was a nice touch too.

Wow what a weekend! The Hideaway at Windermere was amazing. John, who checked us in, showed us to our room and served us at breakfast time was brilliant 👏 😀 complimentary cake everyday on your stay, I mean, what else do you need? The room was clean and bed comfy. Breakfast was delicious and lots of it. We will definitely be back. A very short wall to Windermere where we visited The Lamplighter one evening and The Tilly the second evening. We also walked into Bowness within 30 mins.

Wow! Richard is a brilliant host. Nothing is too much trouble. The hotel is spotlessly clean. The room was lovely and warm and tastefully decorated. It's a fantastic location with ample parking. The breakfast was plentiful and good quality produce. Homemade cake on arrival was a bonus and very tasty
