How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

None that I could think of at the moment
Room was very comfy, and less than 10 min drive from Bourton on the Water and the model village. Breakfast was good {Continental breakfast}.

Thanks to Helen and Graham for making us feel very welcome and looking after us throughout our stay at their property. The room was very comfortable and well appointed and the breakfasts were lovely!!

Absolutely nothing at all!
Fabulous four poster bed in our room! We were able to use the comfy lounge & beautiful garden. A very short walking distance into the market square. Helen & Graham are lovely friendly & helpful hosts. Could not have been made more welcome.

Nothing, it was exactly what we needed
Great location in Stow, a short walk from the high street. Helen was friendly and helpful. We found it very good value and the breakfast was excellent!

Excellent location, few minutes walk to town with good pubs, restaurants and shops. Loved the four poster bed. Quiet room at the back. Good breakfast. Lovely hosts. We would definitely recommend The Limes and would love to return.

Difficult to criticise for the price we paid (compared with price of other local accommodations).
Comfortable room exactly as advertised. Comfortable bed, working shower. Good value when compared with other hotels nearby. Friendly hosts.

For me the bed was too soft, in the morning I had an achy back. Was disappointed with the breakfast. Was expecting a full english, but there was only 3 cooked items (scrambled eggs, bacon and tinned tomatoes). However, there was plenty of toast, yogurts, fruit, juices, coffee etc.
Nicely laid out room and facilities within the room. Tea and coffee facilities, hairdryer TV, plenty of towels and toiletries. Lovely gardens, and plenty of parking. Very close to town centre which was good. Lovely town centre.

Helen and Graham gave us a very warm welcome, provided a wonderful breakfast every day and also gave us with good local tips. The B&B has small but nice (& clean) rooms and is the ideal base for exploring the north east cotswolds. We really enjoyed it. Thank you very much!

Nothing to note really! Loved the common room and its accessibility for guests. Would have enjoyed some time in the garden but the weather did not allow for it.
The location was perfect if you are looking to explore The Cotswolds area. Very close to a large Tesco and very cute downtown. The garden of the house was so beautiful and the owners were extremely kind and welcoming. The continental breakfast was also great and gave us fuel for the rest of our adventures the next morning. Would highly recommend staying here!

The only thing I didn't like was that we weren't there longer. Definitely want to come back.
The property and accommodation are exceptional. A beautiful building, very tastefully decorated and welcoming. Our room was everything we could want. A lovely en-suite. Comfortable bed, armchairs, lovely decor and all the facilities we needed. Good view over the garden. The garden areas were all amazing. Little buildings, water features, and impressive plants, shrubs, and trees. Beautiful!
