We loved every second! Location was stunning! The camp was way more secluded than I imagined, each one are a great distance from eachother so you don’t hear or see the other campers. Beautiful woodland surroundings, quiet and peaceful. Signal was hit and miss but that’s to be expected in such a secluded area. Expectations exceeded! Upon arrival was a basket of goodies, including fresh bread, biscuits, crisps, marshmallows and even dog treats! And a fridge with new butter and milk. We didn’t expect any of this! Basics like tea, coffee, sugar, hot chocolate, sauces along with all crockery, cutlery, linen and toiletries were provided which was a huge bonus! Firefighters, kindling and wood were even provided free of charge for the fire! I didn’t expect there to be any electricity points but there was a couple which is always a bonus.. not that you use your devices much! Comfy & cosy! Although it’s outdoors, there’s plenty of shelter and whilst it rained a lot (which we actually had hoped for) we didn’t get wet at all. It was so cosy sat around the firepit and when it got a bit chilly I used the blankets provided. They even provide a hot water bottle! The bed itself was surprisingly so comfy, lovely quality pillows and duvet! Another throw and heater were on hand incase it was cold but we didn’t even need those. Communication was great! I whatsapped the owner a handful of times asking questions before booking and then requesting early check in, as well as asking for recommendations of local places to eat etc and I always got a really fast and friendly reply, nothing was too much trouble. They even allowed us to check in a couple of hours early! Happy campers! Overall we can’t complain in the slightest, loved it and have already decided we’re booking to come again next month and try out a different camp. Highly recommend!

Few points: 1) I feel there can be few more utensils. 2) they should provide a scrubber to wash the utensils.

The location is perfect in the woods and secluded from other cabins. Ample of place outside the pod. Comfortable chairs and beds. The fire pit was a nice touch. The kitchen was well stocked. Overall the stay was excellent.

No curtains It was bright til 10.40 and the sun came up at 5 so I was awake next time I'd bring an eye mask to sleep with maybe they could have them available to purchase on sight as I would iv paid 20quid at 3am haha

The weirdness of it a big giant ball in the treetops! The back to nature secluded spot in the forest was magical for my little boy and imaginations where running wild the outdoor kitchen set up was amazing!!!!

Absolutely amazing stay in the refuge Only found and booked the day before and what a treat for Fantastic host, on arrival fresh flowers, and picnic hamper full Of food. Totally relaxing yet an adventure on the rustic side which is perfect and everything on site you could want A real open air treat, we will be back

Nothing to do with the site management but a noisy party on the second night in the village saw the music and screaming travel in to the woods from 8pm to past midnight. Also, be ready for the very regular chiming of every quarter of the hour from the church, especially the 3 hour odd little melody from the music box. Pack ear plugs if you sleep lightly. These were minor things and are outside the control of the site.

Jo was really helpful in advance - great com’s and little touches - thank you. Really liked that there were only 3 places to stay, made it feel more relaxing and special. Facilities were really well thought out.

It is a brilliant place to stay! It has absolutely everything you could think of! I loved the fresh flowers in the vase! And fresh berries disappeared fast! Kitchen area very comfortable to prep your meals. We had fresh milk, butter, bread, eggs, berries! And outdoor toilet and shower was nice and clean! Shower is spacious with all toiletries provided. After 14mile walk I didn’t want to get out of the shower! And communication with Jo was super easy! We wish we knew about this place earlier! And the little “cabin” was well comfy. Can’t recommend this place enough! Thank you, Jo!!!!

Immaculate, perfectly set up, very well thought out and all bases covered and provided for beautifully. Very professionally run and Jo was so helpful and kind. A wonderful location, very cool in the woods under cover, just perfect. The true definition of a beautiful idyllic woodland retreat! The privacy was amazing. Very peaceful with a great location. Cosy sleeping pod with plenty of private outdoor space and facilities. Self check-in was also an excellent bonus. There was plenty of information provided from the host by text/email and a useful "Basecamp guide" that included lots of helpful information. Would definitely stay again.

Bed was really hard, but we both have back issues so probably fine for others.

It is in a stunning woodland setting, feels quite secluded and romantic. Every attention to detail is met, with flowers on arrival and food for breakfast, even marshmallows to toast in the open fire. No Wi-Fi, which was fab as there were games to play.
