Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. United KingdomToo small Hard to get in and out Staircase was a nightmare No way of taking luggage to bedroom. No communal space Noisy neighbours who repeatedly blocked my car in allocated space Fridge did not cool drinks until 24 hours after putting the drink in the fridge No way this could accommodate 2 people Thankfully I was out all day but in an evening there was no where to sit when it was raining

United Kingdompretty much everything else much smaller than we anticipated, horrible stairs. not very clean at all. which ended in us leaving 2 days early. contacted the company after leaving and they said they couldn’t do anything for me as i should of phoned before I left and blamed me for not being able to get any money back etc. absolutely disgraceful.

United KingdomAll of it the jacuzzi had 9 windows looking in was not private being watched by cctv downstairs of the property was not enough room to hardly move so decided not to stay at property after a 4 and half hrs drive from Romsey to camborne we decided that we did not want to stay at property called customer service which was not helpful what so ever and would like a full refund asap so drove 4 half hours back home hoping for a romantic get away as pictures looked great to open the gate and find the picture below nothing absolutely nothing like pictures I feel so upset and let down both of us self employed not getting paided for week off I feel upset and let down by skyes and booking .com have sent messages too both and had no response no care no communication to human being just wanting a holiday so gutted I do hope someone actually reads this and does something about it ...we never stayed in property so a full refund would make us extremely happy so we can actually have a holiday

United KingdomThe pictures do not reflect just how small this property actually is. Unless you are a single traveller this property is not at all practical or comfortable. The spiral staircase is much narrower than the pictures suggest and unless you are extremely skinny they are not easy to navigate. Although it is a pet friendly property, dogs are not able to climb these steps. The small table provided is redundant really, because this becomes a place where you need to leave coats and jackets etc. as there is no storage or hanging space in the property. More worryingly, it is a major safety issue. If there was an emergency, the emergency services would struggle to access upstairs and certainly couldn't get the patient downstairs safely, without harming the patient further. What's more if there was a fire downstairs, the small windows in the bedroom are not a viable escape route, how this passed health and safety protocols I don't know. When we raised our concerns with the host, they were less than helpful to say the least, offering no alternative or any kind of compensation. This made, what should have been a very joyous visit to family to celebrate New Year, very disappointing and uncomfortable and actually ended up with us cutting our stay shorter than planned and missing a family birthday. At this price point I would have expected much better and I would not recommend this to anyone other than a young, skinny and single traveller, and actually they could probably do better than this too.
The property was generally clean and decorated well. It was in a good location.
