We were in the annex and the people below us were incredibly noisy from 10 at night until 3 in the morning. They made loud noises in the hallway and in their room during that time. At 3 they appeared to be moving furniture ? At 4 a lorry arrived to pick up the bins. At least, that’s what it sounded like. I think the main building would have been quieter? It was hard to sleep.

Nice position. Lovely breakfast room, view and garden. Great Parking. Really helpful, nice staff.

    Nothing really

Roast lunch was good, breakfast was good, bed was comfortable, room was good size. They were able to accommodate our request for an early check in.

The price for one night's B&B suggested a more special experience.

The breakfast was great. Good food, well cooked and presented with little delay.

Friendly staff and good sized room with twin beds. Very dog friendly so able to take her down to breakfast with us (they have a room set aside for those of us with dogs)

Little explanation was given about the parking situation. With 18(?) rooms there were only 12 parking spaces (a couple of which were reserved for charging electric cars) were on site, so we had to pay at the public car park a few 100 yards away. There was no visible signage for the hotel on the way in from the road. On the Sunday evening, it did appear that they were short-staffed - although, as stated, those there were pleasant and worked hard.

Dinner and breakfast were both very good. Staff were very pleasant and welcoming.

The village drunk in the hotel bar, telling us to get out off our laptops. Obviously known to the staff!

Great food and good service. Everyone was very accommodating.

We had a deluxe room on the front on the property. The noise from the main road made sleeping difficult. The rooms were tired and in need of modernisation. We had a letter saying that if we didn’t want the room serviced then we should let them know however we were asked twice if we wanted our room cleaned and when we returned from a day out at 3pm it was still needing attention.

Staff were very helpful and the food was good. Ate in the restaurant for dinner and it was a very good menu and food was tasty

The only thing that I can fault the place on was the carpet in my room had quiet a few stains on it. But we didn't spend much time in the room.

The location was great as there is lots to explore on Hay on Wye and the surrounding areas. Rooms were comfortable and the food was great.

Great sized room with comfy bed. Fan provided as the weather was hot. Parking outside hotel was okay - the car hotel car park was full but we arrived outside of the parking restrictions for the front and moved the car the next day. Friendly staff. Good breakfast. Dinner at the restaurant was great - delicious food. Staff friendly.

There was a weird noise in our room. We couldn’t figure out what it was or how it was happening. Unfortunately it occurred during our first night. The hotel staff didn’t know what it was either so we bought ear plugs for our second night.

Location was excellent. We liked being very close to the town centre and also quick access to beautiful countryside. Staff were very friendly and had great suggestions for local walks. Breakfast was very nice. The room was small and pleasant and clean.

Maybe a little on the expensive side - but only a little.

Lovely big and comfortable bed, having a bath in the bathroom and the garden was really peaceful. It was just a couple of minutes' walk from all the shops and restaurants.

The room was at the front of the property so facing onto the road with quite a bit of traffic. It was a warm night which meant the window needed to be open, but that made the room quite noisy.

The bed was very comfortable and the room was very spacious and had everything needed.

The room was a bit worn ie marks on ceiling and walls chipped wood work, and a bit noisey in the early hours of the morning from the traffic because of room being right next to road.

Great staff very friendly and helpful, the room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Good choice for breakfast and cooked to order would recommend many thanks.

Menu on the night we stayed very limited. We don't eat meat. Had to go into the town for a meal . We were told the chef who prepares the fish dishes was not working on a Monday night.

The room was lovely with a view of the garden.
