The Swinside Inn is exceptional for a wonderful stay in the Lake District. Beautiful, tasteful rooms, very comfortable bed, excellent food at dinner, and breakfast (thanks chef). We cannot recommend The Swinside highly enough. Just a wonderful stay in lovely lovely luxurious comfort. Thank you.

Not quite a “ten” because we arrived Easter Sunday and they clearly had some staffing issues. We were waiting a fair while to check in then again to be shown our room and service very slow for food and drinks. However apologies were frequent and these things do happen. It was super busy restaurant wise too as it’s a foodie pub.

Stunning location with lovely views so close to Cat Bells. Might be a bit far out for some but we liked that. Excellent food breakfast superb, we ate one evening which was also very good. Spacious spotless room with above average tea tray! Which included home made cookies. Very comfy bed. The staff were all lovely super friendly and helpful they really made a difference.

The setting is idyllic! Family Room was nicely decorated with plenty of space for two adults and two children. Great breakfasts - plenty of options and generous portions. Friendly and attentive staff, who gave us helpful advice on where to walk and visit. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Swinside and would definitely return to explore more of the area.

Superb location.Food was excellent & the bar , restaurant & beer garden ( amazing views ) , were all lovely. The staff , mainly a very young team , were all incredibly efficient , professional & helpful , and the business should be proud to have such a great team.

Lovely hotel tucked away amongst the mountains..Large seating area outside to enjoy a drink in the sunshine. Comfortable clean room with coffee/ tea making facilities and homemade cookies which were a lovely touch. I had dinner at the hotel which was superb, as was breakfast. Breakfast wasn't served until 8am which is a bit late for avid walkers who want to get out and about early but this seems to be the norm for most hotels in the area. Would definitely stay here again when I'm.next in the area.

The staff were so helpful, very attentive, friendly and efficient. They were all great but special shout out to Sally. I will come back. This place is amazing and in the perfect spot for a bit of walking! And the food is amazing! The chef puts many posh hotels to shame .

This is a beautiful dog friendly hotel. The staff are welcoming and attentive. The food was delicious and we would definitely stay again. The property was clean and inviting. The views from the hotel bar and outside area are stunning. We can't wait to return.

The Swinside Inn is lovely. Nestled at in an often missed or bypassed part of the lakes a short way from Catbells its location is excellent for seasoned hol walkers, amblers or day trippers. The Inn is finished to a high standard and we cannot fault the staff. Friendly and accessible. The food was fabulous.
