Very welcoming and helpful staff, typical small village pub with basic rooms which were clean and tidy. Great service at the bar and at breakfast. Breakfast food was absolutely fantastic, the best I've had in a hotel/pub for years !!!

Really friendly welcome on arrival. I was made to feel like a regular even though it was my first visit. Michaela recognised I was work weary and made sure I was checked in quickly and shown my lovely room.

We had to go so soon...but we're be back!

The rooms are lovely and comfortable, we've stayed I think four times now. Hannah and her team are friendly and welcoming, nothing is too much trouble and down to earth. The atmosphere is lovely, friendly locals, food is delish and oh my... the pizza's! 😋

Just a personal preference, coffee at breakfast was rather too weak.

Seemingly newly refurbished pub and rooms, clean and a comfortable bed, with a Tassimo coffee machine in the room which is always welcome. Superb breakfast, good value and clearly cooked to order. Service excellent throughout, from welcome and ease of check-in and at breakfast.

Room 1, the shower in the bathroom would benefit from regrouting. And maybe new flooring ?

Completely loved it here The staff -in particular Minnie - were friendy, helpful and chatty The meals including breakfast were very good. Beef Borginon was absolutely delicious Lovely spacious family room, clean and quiet Nice large outdoor seating area The village is very pretty We will definitely stay there again !

Bathroom was a little worn in a few minor places but this won't stop us staying again.

I didn’t dislike anything about the property. I was only cautious with my son because of the inn’s nearness to the major road.

It’s a cute inn with very friendly and warm staffs. The room and beds were very comfortable and we loved our breakfast.

The wait for food was really slow on all 3 occasions we ate. We understand that Saturday was slow service as it was really busy - pretty much a full house but Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning wasn't busy in the restaurant but we still had to wait 25-30 mins for our food. This then made resulted in us being late for work on Sunday morning. The room we stayed in as right by the main road going through the village and due to it being a warm night with no aircon, it did mean we had to keep the window ajar which meant we could hear cars going past all night/morning. I'm a light sleeper, so I struggled getting to sleep for most of the night.

The location was lovely - set in a beautiful rural village. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. The food was absolutely amazing!! So delicious! Beds were super comfy and our room had a smart tv so we could watch some netflix after a long day at work. Would recommend!

Feels like home. Always welcoming. Loved the fresh made pizza - served Friday & Saturday evenings. Lovely full English breakfast in the morning - as well as other selections made to order. Able to spend time at the pub from 12 noon to 12 midnight. Able to order in and they will allow you plates & utensils. Looking forward to planning a return trip. Hannah and her colleagues and The Unicorn Inn will be missed.

Absolutely nothing.

So welcoming & comfortable. Feels like coming home. Locals so inclusive. Gave us a great recommendation for a top local curry shop. When we discovered we couldn’t get it via Just Eats or Uber Eats, they gave us a ride to do take away. Love the room set up - deluxe family room shaped in an L - one end double and one end two twins. Exceptionally arranged for family.

Love the deluxe family room. Love that we can stay with kids - one double room and two single beds. Love that the double is on one side of an L and the two twins are on the other side of an L. Love there is a restaurant on premises. Love the breakfast with Hannah. Love that the bus stops right in front of the Inn.

Nothing. Was just perfect.

Comfortable. Neat. Clean. Hospitable. Close to The Repton School. Everyone was delightful. We arrived after the restaurant part of the pub at the Inn closed. The staff got us settled, and taught us the local take out app. The locals were so open and friendly. Hannah, proprietor, serves a fantastic full English breakfast and is so welcoming and kind.

If you want an invoice for your stay don’t bother with the Unicorn. Promised an email invoice when I was there but never arrived. Phoned up and told one would be emailed and confirmed email address. Never arrived. 3 days later phoned again, got same reply “we will email it” Still never arrived. Restaurant not open Monday & Tuesday.

Breakfast was nice enough. I only had egg on toast but full breakfast was available.

Nothing everything was excellent

Did not have breakfast, Room was perfect, large and very nicely decorated. Staff were fantastic, hence why I have booked another 4 nights stay.
