As mentioned before, the bed was like a slab! And I like a good firm mattress but that was on another level.

Everything was amazing apart from the bed. Was rock solid and you could really feel the join between the beds. Other than that, was an amazing experience. The hotel was immaculately clean throughout and staff were very friendly and always willing to help.

Other than the other member of staff with her who was very polite and respectful, there was One lady called Lyn who served us breakfast and she was very rude and abrupt when we first walked in to the dining hall. As we had never been here before we didn’t know if you had to wait to be seated or sit yourself down, so we waited and asked if we could seat ourselves. She replied with no you don’t, you wait there, in quite a rude manner, in front of other which while your standing up felt quite embarrassing.After finishing as much of my breakfast as I could, she came to collect the plates and asked if I didn’t like it because of how much I left, which isn’t a question you should be asked when the breakfast is partly continental and part menu. Alongside this my friend also asked if she could have a spare knife with her breakfast which she replied with “no” but after said she was only joking and she would get her one, which after the way she acted throughout the breakfast I thought the comment was, although aimed in a jokey way, didn’t seem necessary after the way we were spoken to before.

I like the variety you could have for breakfast, very tasty and a lot to offer. Can’t fault the cleanliness of the room and the room size and bathroom was amazing.

This lovely hotel is literally a hidden gem ! Food outstanding, Staff were absolutely wonderful, nothing was too much trouble for any of them. Will be returning for sure, cannot recommend highly enough! Cannot wait for our next stay .

The mirror in the bathroom was too tall for me (i am only 5 ft) but the mirrors in the room made up for it.

We managed to grab an upgrade on booking.com for a private terrace room! The room was fabulous, lovely large bed and plenty of storage. It was spotlessly clean. The pool facilities were great, we made sure to use them! Dined in the kona restaurant for an evening meal (good value for money) and also breakfasts - plenty of choice.

We didn't arrive until quite late so it was dark. The lighting around the site is quite poor and we struggled to find our lodge. Brighter lighting would be better and more along the pathways to the manor house would make it easier to find your way.

The newly renovated lodge was absolutely lovely and catered for all our needs. The rooms were spacious and the views were amazing.

The pool got very busy during the early family swim times and there wasn't much room to actually swim.

Our lodge was extremely well equipped and very clean. We had plenty of space for my family (husband, 2 teenage children & me). We enjoyed the use of the pool/jacuzzi/sauna and gym. We didn't eat in the restaurant but it looked lovely. It was a good location for us to visit Cornwall for the first time although you need to be prepared to drive a lot!

Banging above room at night & in morning. Can only think this was maintenance work as no rooms above us. Ladies changing room in the leisure centre had a door that opened directly onto the pool area - be careful when changing!!!!

You can’t walk to anywhere as the roads aren’t safe to do so. The Sunday roast isn’t available in the evening.

We loved our room, it was clean and spacious. Our evening meal was tasty and the waiting staff were excellent and friendly. There was plenty on offer for breakfast. Unfortunately, I was still full from last night's dinner, because the cooked breakfast looked delicious.
