How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Stayed at this stunning property for 4 nights. The property is decorated to the highest standard. We had a beautiful 2 bedroom suite with individual en-suite bathrooms. Our host was amazing and took the time to make us feel welcome. The property is a few minute's walk to the city centre and local train station. Would highly recommend a stay at this property,

Only one niggle which may seem picky to some but it was important for me - Plug sockets not near the mirror in room for drying hair. (Chris’s Wife adding this as Chris doesn’t need a hairdryer😉
Everything! A great location & everything you needed was there plus a very nice communal lounge / dining/ garden seating area on ground floor. Beautifully clean & fresh. Comfy bed. Excellent communication from Host with clear self check in / out message sent to us. Fan in room which was a godsend due to hot weather. Car park right at the back of property so easy access with cases etc. via back gate directly on to car park 👍🏻

perfect place to stay when you are in Windsor, it is clean, on a pefect distance to the Castle and shopping centre with several restaurants! The host is very kind and helpfull, parking area just behind the accomodation.

We loved everything. I can say this place exceeded any expectations! Of all of our hotel stays, this beats them all!
What an amazing place! It was absolutely spotless!! Such a homey feeling and the owner and staff were hands down the best we have ever experienced in all of our years of travel! We loved everything from the room, to the common areas, the patio and the location!!

I have stayed in so many hotels and guesthouses while travelling, and I don't usually write reviews, but this time I felt like I really had to. The Windsorian Experience was exceptional!! We stayed with our 2 children in the loft rooms and they were just stunning. There was a separate room for the children with their own loo and the master had its own ensuite which was modern and beautiful. The whole house was amazing, absolutley immaculate, stunning decor, lovely well stocked kitchenette, host Marius was so welcoming and helpful and we could see oir car in the carpark behind the house from our room. Every little thing had been thought of. I just cannot rave about this beautiful guesthouse enough! Photos do not do it justice at all! I wish we could have stayed longer!

A hidden gem in Windsor. The house is stunning and everything has been finished to such a high standard. We were upstairs and it was great to have two bedrooms for our family so our children had their own space. The rooms were spotless and had mobile air-conditioning units in which was very much needed in the heatwave as the rooms get hot. The communication from Marius and Claudia prior to our stay was great and ensured a smooth check in. I would highly recommend staying here.

We were on the top floor, and getting the luggage inside was a real challenge. The shared kitchen and common spaces would have been challenging for a family if we had stayed longer.
It was very clean and was a great location. It is an odd setup. It is a group house with a shared kitchen living room and outside space. Each bedroom has a different code like a hotel without a front desk which worked fine for us as we were staying one night as it is about a 20 min drive to the airport.

There is nothing to dislike
Everything, ,it is a brilliant place to stay the standard is 1st Class . The check in procedure was very efficient . lovely bedding , towels in fact everything was perfect. it is also very close walking distance to the castle , shops and restaurants.

Black out blinds would have helped us get more sleep!
Clean and convenient accommodation very close to Windsor town, castle and riverside. Our deluxe double was a bit smaller than expected (small double bed pushed up against the wall) but the room was nice with good linen and pillows and a lovely shower room. Downstairs there is an attractive lounge and garden plus spare loo. Parking in the car park is right behind the property accessed thru a back gate so very easy. Will cost you tho so factor this in to your budget. Superb choice for those who travel by train. Communication and access of the property clear and effective. We were happy with our stay.

The television had so many channels it was difficult to find the normal ones but this was a minor problem that I'm sure others would figure out.
Windsorian Experience is a beautiful place. It is spotlessly clean. Will stay here again one day.... absolutely recommend to others. A delightful find and very reasonably priced.

Amazing location - only a couple of minutes walk from the centre. Fantastic room, with very comfy beds and a lovely bathroom. Great shared areas too! And such friendly hosts!
