The room was small, as was the bed. Bedside lamps inadequate for reading. The en-suite needs updating.

We stayed in a separate unit across the street from the main building — it was like a tiny house, including access to a little back garden. It faces onto the main road, but traffic wasn’t heavy.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. They were very accommodating, allowing us to bring our electric bikes round the back of the room so they were safe out of sight. The breakfast was very good.

It’s a characteristic old building in a charming village, the food is excellent and the staff very kind. We also enjoyed a walk in the surroundings after dinner. The perfect place for the first (or last) night in England.

We pointed out that the electricals were poor (lamp and hair drier had fraying wires).

Historic inn in lovely village with a car park. We went for one of the bigger rooms with private bathroom (room 4), which worked well. Quiet, comfy bed, good bathroom. Breakfast and evening dinner very good, well stocked bar with local beers etc. Friendly and helpful staff.

Bed was a bit small - fine for me but my other half (who didn't make it) would have struggled being taller. Could do with a few more sockets too, there was one under the dresser but I had to unplug the lamp to use. Not ideal if you're travelling with lots of devices to charge but that's a first world problem!

Great location - we were attending a wedding at the Chilham Village Hall which was a few minute's drive if that. Good sized rooms, interesting layout with the bathroom, down the steps and bigger than you initially think. Clean and comfortable. I couldn't hear anything either given that we were above a pub - good night's sleep. Plenty of parking on site.

the room was very hot and the stairs to the en-suite were not ideal the breakfast was ok. Not great just ok. Maybe there was a different chef in the kitchen from the one that did dinner the night before

location was great. The building is very old and starting to show it needs some refreshing. However it was very clean. Plenty of car parking and ideally placed if you need to catch a ferry from Dover only a 40 minute drive The food in the evening was excellent

The Woolpack Inn is on the Pilgrims Way, which was perfect for me. The staff was very helpful. The room was comfortable. And food was delicious.
