Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

NetherlandsThe rooms are not heated, so at the end of the season it can get pretty chilly, so take some warm sweaters with you :)
Paata is a lovely host. He doesn't speak English, but with google translate it's no problem. It feels like you're part of the family with dinner and breakfast. They give a time for breakfast and dinner and serve whatever it is they are making, but it's always delicious.

The most lovely tusheti family. Mama and papa bear will look after you so well here! Amazing hospitality - the breakfasts and dinners were always a delicious surprise. Everything was easy to arrange, the hosts were very accommodating. I was able to leave some of my stuff there while hiking for a few days. Miss this place so much already. See you again one day I hope!

Guesthouse with soft bed, hot shower and tasty homemade breakfast and dinner - a perfect combination you need for hiking in Tusheti. The host is incredibly nice and helpful, he gave us recommendations for good hikes. We felt like at home here!

GermanyWe loved our stay here. It's a nice cozy and private guesthouse. The owner and his daughter are really friendly and always willing to help and make you feel the most comfortable. We spent 4 nights here and we felt right at home. The breakfasts and dinners they offer are completely worth the money, the breakfasts have all the nutrients and flavours you need before starting on those long hiking days and the dinners are warm and send you with a happy belly to sleep! Will definitely recommend!!!

IsraelCountry style guesthouse, the house is made of wood and has 3 floors. We really enjoyed ourselves and the owner of the guesthouse was very nice and welcoming. We were at the beginning of summer, so it was still cold, and there was no possibility to heat the water in the shower because the electricity in all the villages in the area runs on solar energy and generators. The room had 3 beds and was spacious enough for us. Thank you! :)

United KingdomUnfortunately the facilities were much worse than the 2 other places we stayed in Omalo at the same price. For 4 days there was no water during the day. Although this was not a problem anywhere else at the time in the village. If you want to use the toilet, wash your hands or drink water you had to ask for the water pump to be switch on, wait several minutes and most of the times this resulted in brown dirty water. there was only hot water for showering between 6-9pm so really inconvenient after a hike. You had to shower before dinner. Water pressure was very poor and water was luke warm The other major problem was the noise in the guest house. It’s more like a shack made of wood so floors creek very loudly with every move a person made. There was a lot of rooms on the same floor sharing toilet so if you were unlucky for people to go to sleep after you or wake up earlier you’ll be sure to be waken up by the noise too Horseriding was more expensive than other places
Great views from terrace. Comfortable beds. Sockets in the room. Met some cool people

United KingdomVery challenging for anyone who is a light sleeper, you can hear everything going on in the house and many travellers coming and going. The most popular guesthouse so quite busy. Also challenges with water pressure and showers, but being high up in the mountains one can expect such luxuries to be just that.
Lovely welcoming family who do their best to accommodate all your needs. The mother also offers lovely Georgian home cooked meals for additional costs
