Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaSome aspects of maintenance/upgrading would improve the property. Cats were very obvious both inside and outside the house, including in the kitchen and dining area. Guests who are cat lovers will enjoy their presence.
Large comfortable rooms accessible by stairs or lift. Access to balconies and common areas with fridges. Close (walking distance) to restaurants and the tombs. Our hostess was a kind and friendly person who did her best to ensure we had a pleasant stay.

United StatesEverything was lovely.
Hotel Aigon is spacious, airy with cool marble floors. It has comfortable lounge area on the ground floor. There is an elevator to take care of one’s luggage. Our room’s balcony had a beautiful view of the mountains. The room had a well-functioning AC (also radiators for the winter). The hotel is very clean. There is cats and kittens on the property(like everywhere in Greece) but they are not let into the hotel itself, so my kid had not issue with allergies. The owner is very hospitable and welcoming. She offers a generous breakfast to start one’s day (for extra fee). She was helpful to plan the visits to the sites. Hotel Aigon is walking distance to all the main sites, coffee shops, restaurants and a short drive to the museum. The village is set in a picturesque area and has vibes of a good community with local kids playing on the school grounds in the afternoon.

GreeceThe rooms were in need of updating, but satisfactory for an overnight stay...they are large and the property is very airy.
Breakfast was excellent, the owner really went out of her way to give us a very copious and tasty breakfast (extra charge). The location to the Vergina site was perfect, we walked. There were a few nice tavernas for dinner and coffee/pizza places for the evening to eat within a few minutes walking from the hotel.

NorwayThe common area at main entrance AND the reception could use som kind of clear definition and divisions to smaller areas. Not easy to figure out whether the area was private or for customers use. Maybe a pool table/football game, some shelves with books/bochures/boardgames or other would invite to use this area and meet new friends. We just stayed at the rooms...
Aigon had big rooms and private balconys. Very wellfunctioning A/C. High level of cleanliness. Great hospitality and a kind, helpful owner. Location was great. Short distance to restaurants and groceries.

Perfect choose to stay one night to rest during a long journey, but if you are in this town do not miss the Museum of the Royal Tombs of Aigai. The museum can be reached from the hotel on foot. The host, who is a very kind lady, alone operates the hotel. The breakfast was plenty with local products. when we checked out, the host packed us food for the long journey ahead. Parking is possible on the street in the front of the hotel

RomaniaThere is a dog in the yard who has almost bitten me, so be carreful with that dog or just tell the guest that you dont want to get bitten by it, so she can lock the dog in the backyard.
The guest gave me a bottle of cold water and some fruits at the arrival. The rooms has everything you need and a fridge is also available in front of you room, not inside.

RomaniaThe Hotel has a lot of potential but it needs some refurbishment. We had some trouble finding the hotel (partially because we arrived very late) but we fixed the location on Google Maps in the morning. We couldn't sleep with the windows open because of the neighbor's dog, but this is expected in a small town.
Nice looking hotel and the hosts were nice and helpful. We only stayed for a night but we got a good rest and an good breakfast. It's also a good place to stay if you are passionate about history, Vergina being known as the site of ancient Aigai, the first capital of Macedon (UNESCO World Heritage Site). Hopefully, we will come back some day and spend more time here.

GreeceThere was an issue with the wifi in the rooms. This had been reported to the provider and should be fixed now. Wifi in reception worked perfectly.
We stayed in this hotel many years ago, twice, so this was a return visit. The lady who runs it couldn't have been more helpful. The location is quiet but accessible. Love the place and may well go back again.

BelgiumThe place (house and rooms) needs maintenance and renovating but has a lot of potential. The host had private issues (her dad died recently) and was a bit confused and absent. The room had a balcony of its own but also the balcony of another room just in front of the bedroom window...strange situation (luckely there was noone using that room). Nevertheless we enjoyed our stay.
The room was fine, A big house. A good neighbourhood and not too far from shops and restaurants. A lovely lady welcomed us and showed us around. It was enough for us and we are happy with our stay here.
