Iliofegaro is a fantastic place to stay in Sifnos. The rooms are quiet, comfortable, and fairly equipped, offering everything you need for a pleasant stay. Its location is ideal, just a quick 3-5 minute walk to both the beach and the port. The buses run frequently and reliably, making it easy to explore the rest of the island—at no point did we feel the need to rent a car or bike. Kamares itself has plenty of very good restaurants, all within a short walking distance. What truly sets Iliofegaro apart though, are the hosts, Sophia and George. They are warm, genuine, and always welcoming. Often, you’ll find them relaxing in the open-air bar at the base of the building, creating a laid-back, communal atmosphere. It wasn’t unusual for a few guests to gather in the evenings, chatting over juice and bread, which made it easy to connect with other travelers and enjoy Sophia and George’s hospitality. They were also very happy to provide recommendations on where to eat or visit, and we appreciated the recommendations from other guests as well. Our time on Sifnos was wonderful, and staying at Iliofegaro made it even more special. We couldn’t recommend it more highly!

the owner of the place is super nice, always greeting with a smile. the location is 10 mins from port, if you need can ask the owner to provide the pick up service, the location is very convenient, walk distant to the coffee shops, restaurants, and beach area.

Could do with a bit of soundproofing as you can hear everyone else in their rooms, especially in the early hours where everything is louder, but that is normal in most Greek accommodations. Fridge a bit noisy though, had to use earplugs, but could be worse.

As we are aging hikers/hillwalkers it is in a decent location for some good sightseeing hillwalking/scenic photography. Owner of the property very nice to chat to and also helpful, he made us feel very welcome.

The double room was slightly smaller than expected but it didn’t detract from our stay.

The view from the balcony says it all. Great location if you like going to the beach at Kamares and the hospitality of our hosts (Sofia and George) was exceptional. The room was cleaned everyday and new towels changed. Our hosts offered us coffee with Greek biscuits every morning and afternoon, and we looked forward to having a chat in their veranda. The 7 nights we stayed was amazing and an experience we will never forget. My wife and I will definitely return next time.

Fabulous little apartment for four people with two balconies with both sea and mountain views. The kitchen had everything we needed for a 6 night stay, had we chosen to cook there. The beds were comfortable and the decoration of the apartment was lovely. We enjoyed the location being both close to the Kamares Beach and the quaint port. The outdoor jacuzzi in the common area was a nice touch. Staff were friendly and efficient. Would definitely stay here again.

Great location - 5 minute walk to Kamares beach and walking distance to the port with lots of restaurants. Room was super clean and had a great view over the mountains and ocean. Super friendly and hospitable staff and owners. We got picked up when our ferry arrived and we were able to shower after check-out.

This wasn’t a problem for us, but the short driveway from the road to the hotel was steep, so those with mobility impairment might need to drive instead of walk. We thought it was fine even in flip flops.

This hotel had lovely outdoor space for each room, with views of the bay and surrounding hillsides. The owners were exceptionally friendly and kind. It was an easy walk down to Kamares beach and restaurants.

Staff was very friendly and super kind. The room was nice, spacious and clean. Hotel was offering some parking too. It was very close to the port and not far from the center. It was within 5 min walking from Kamares beach, where you can watch the best sunset!

Value for money. About a 15 minute walk from the ferry port. Handy to the restaurants and the beach in Kamarai . The owners were lovely and very helpful. George even drive us to the ferry wharf with our luggage when we left.

Ilifegaro was the ultimate dreamy beach get away. We traveled with our toddler and they were great about having a crib in the room. The outdoor living room and pool also were great for parents looking for a space to hang while kids nap that is immediately adjacent to the room. We loved our stay!
