How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

We had an absolutely amazing stay the Mythodea Athens Suites. The check in process was extremely smooth, and Yiannis was so friendly. We'd also been in frequent communication with Konstantinos in the build up to the trip who was very helpful, too. The room was huge and spacious, and very clean. The location was perfect - right in the heart of Athens, and close to the Metro station and key attractions. We loved every minute of our stay.

I can’t think of anything I didn’t like
Absolutely lovely staff. Incredibly clean and spacious room. Great little balcony to sit on and watch the world below. Perfect location, could not have chosen a better place to stay. I will recommend Mythodea to all my friends!

I have no complaints or issues with this property.
The location was prime - within walking distance to all the major hubs and the hotel specifically is in a nice street of Athens with views of the Roman Agora. The room and bathroom was clean and spacious, and the owners were extremely hospitable, approachable and helpful.

I can’t fault this property.
This property was a total unexpected surprise for us. So clean, bright and fresh. I will highlight Konstantinos for his communication and warm hospitality on our arrival and during our stay. The arranged transport by Konstantinos was also very professional and personal and quality recommendations for eating out. The room was very spacious for three of us with rooftop views of the Parthenon and the surrounding buildings. We loved walking straight out into the street for food and shopping.

The room was incredible. Very spacious and modern. Konstantinos was very lovely and very understanding when we had to make last minute changes due to flights. On arrival, both Konstantinos and his nephew went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable. Konstantinos arranged airport and port transfers for us which was very helpful. We wish we were able to stay for more than 1 night!

Loved everything about our stay. The hosts were very nice and accommodating. The room is beautiful and looks just like the pictures. Location is perfect and close to great restaurants and shops. The host arranged a driver for us at the cruise port and also to the airport. Everything was top notch! We will definitely stay there again!

Our stay absolutely exceeded our expectations. Konstantinos was very helpful and welcoming. The room was very modern, clean and spacious beyond our belief for our short 1 night stay. They provided all the amenities you would need, helped to organise any transfers we required and also had an amazing view of the acropolis on the roof top. The property was also a short walk from shops, restaurants, main tourist attractions and the train. Could not have asked for a better stay in Athens!

The property was modern, clean, and exactly what we needed for our one night in Athens. It was perfectly situated to see all the main sights. Konstantinos and Yannis were incredibly helpful with instructions, tips, and hospitality during our stay. They even have a rooftop with incredible views of the acropolis. Highly recommend!!

We had an amazing stay. Konstantinos and Yiannas were incredibly helpful and kind, organising anything we could possibly need. The room was beautiful and had a lovely terrace. It was well set up with a kettle, cooktop, tea, coffee, pots etc. A hairdryer was also provided. And view from the rooftop was great!! The location was perfect, super close to lots of shops and restaurants. I wish we stayed longer and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.
