The location may be challenging for those who don’t want to/aren’t able to tackle the 10-15 minute walk into Fira itself due to the steep hill. Equally if you’re visiting Santorini you have to accept hills are part of the package!

We were exceptionally well looked after, from a late check in to helping arrange transport for us over the course of our stay. The rooms were cleaned to a high standard each day with bedding and towels regularly changed. The pool area is well kept and a relaxing space to be in.

Hill walk

Amazing place to stay if you want to be away from the town centre. 12 minutes hill walk from the centre might be a challenge if you have any physical challenges. Lots of hills and stairs anyway in Santorini. Not an issue if you’re renting a car or ATV

An incredible quiet oasis just a short walk from Fira centre. Amazing care and hospitality from Fay the owner. Just 7 high quality comfortable rooms and a lovely pool to relax away from the busy centre.

Having the double bed in the bedroom would have been better, but apart from that, it was perfect.

Facility is modern and beautiful. Everything is made to simplify your stay and make it comfortable. Daily cleaning even though we weren't staying long. Coffee and water bottles at disposal. What I love most is that you are 10 minutes away from the town centre of fira, walking. And, the place is super quiet so you can enjoy your busy day and come back to a calm and peaceful place for the night. People working there are very friendly. And overall it's a great value for the service you get. Would absolutely come back.

Very clean and quite location, not that far away from Fira ( still 15.-20 min walking hill up, so car/taxi is recommended) Room had small kitchen, no breakfast was provided but could be ordered with delivery or if you are with car many bakeries are in close driving distance

The property is amazing. The location is very close to Fira square and the bus stand. It's very clean, pretty and super comfortable. The host, she is absolutely amazing and a wonderful person. I lost my physical card and hence wasn't able to pay for things in cash, she was super helpful and understanding. Very nice jolly person and very helpful in everything. Overall totally value for money, I'd definitely recommend.

It was incredibly clean and well looked after. Fay and her team were very welcoming and catered to questions or requests we had. Rooms had great facilities , tea, coffee and bottles of water refreshed daily and cleaned to a high standard. Pool was quiet, a great place to get lost in a book. In a perfect peaceful place of the island. It is a short walk to the main part of town but this is up the incline of a hill. Would recommend to couples and friends wanting a quiet calm base to come back to after exploring the island.

No pavement at all and having to walk on the road (more of a general Greek problem). Do not make the mistake of ordering the boxed breakfast- it was very poor. A few minutes (~10) walk from there you can get better value, fresh breakfast at one of the local cafes.

Very clean and comfortable, lovely little pool and quiet. Room has a nicely equipped kitchen, and they kindly provides coffee capsules and water bottles every day. Owner was available on WhatsApp throughout and helpful. The whole place was absolutely spotless, and the neighbourhood had an authentic, simple charm.

WiFi was unreliable often had to use data to connect in the evening. Property’s swimming pool was a little smaller than it looks in pictures but was not a deal breaker the pool area was lovely and the pool bar 5 mins away had a big pool that was cheap to use when we needed more space. The hill up to town is pretty brutal.

Absolutely great location. 15 mins from Fira and a good jumping off point for driving to Pygros, Oia, Kamari and Red Beach. Room is made up daily and fridge is restocked with fresh water. Receptionist was really accommodating to our needs and helped with car hire. As a bonus the property is over the road from a blue domed church making for a lovely view of the properties pool and the sea on one side and the church and properties palm trees/flowers on the other. Wonderful quiet and chilled vibe.

Perfect stay. Located close to the centre yet far enough to be away from the crowd. The host was easily reachable. Early checkin/luggage storage available. Swimming pool was clean and perfect. Room exactly as described with all facilities needed for a comfortable stay.

A 10 minute walk to the center but you know it when you book.

This is a wonderful place to stay. The beds are very confortable, the terrace is really enjoyable and you can order food from nearby restaurants if you don’t want to cook. The swimming pool was extremely enjoyable especially given the hot weather! The villa is cleaned every day and the hosts are super helpful. We felt right at home and highly recommend Phoenix

Great property. The pool was great. Hotel was super clean and the staff were really friendly! Loved sitting pool side and soaking in the sunshine. The larger family suite was great for four people (2 adults and 2 tweens)

Nothing to do with the villa, but do be prepared to walk up steep hills to get to the Fira Town Square!

Everything and everyone was amazing at Phoenix. Fay and (I’m assuming) her son were lovely hosts, they helped arrange transport and breakfast. The hotel itself was cleaned spotless every day, very comfortable rooms and good facilities for a 4 day stay. The pool was very clean and is exactly what is needed after a long day in the sun. Cannot recommend Phoenix enough, thank you once again!

We did not have a car, but if you did there is only street parking. We had absolutely nothing to complain about though.

Only a 15 minute walk from the main street, everywhere gets cleaned daily so it’s all very well kept. The staff were amazing, such friendly people and willing to do anything to help you with any issues.

It’s not that this was a major issue if you’re fit, but with a broken toe, I couldn’t make the hill into town. If you’re fit, it’s 5 minutes. If you’re not, taxi transfers are arranged by the property very fast.

The rooms were so beautiful, clean and quiet. Travelling with a friend it was good to have a room each. The pool was clean and private. The amenities were great, coffee pod maker, small oven, toaster, kettle and most kitchen appliance’s. The host Fay was such a lovely helpful lady. She helped me with a foot injury, and even drove us up the hill into the town centre. I would stay there again.

Location is a bit tricky - you have to climb a steep hill to get to Fira town and most of the walk is on the road. There are no pavements. We had read the reviews and knew there was a hike into town, but just did not realize how steep the climb. Walk up and down was sometimes daunting and challenging on sunny day. We walked and sometimes several times a day, and it was easy walking down the hill but going up was strenuous.

Phoenix is probably one of the best accommodations at an affordable price in Santorini. Fay was very welcoming and thoughtful. She was extremely helpful and guided us with taxi bookings and airport transfers. Transport was always arranged on time, never have to wait. Rooms were kept very clean with fresh towels each day. Pool towels were also provided & changed during the week. The room was perfect and loaded with useful facilities (cutlery, microwave, coffee maker, espresso machine, fridge). They even had complementary crackers and juice. It is located in a quiet neighbourhood and is very close to the Fira town, by walk it takes 10-15min. If i visit Santorini again, then for sure i will stay at the same place. I had a really great time and experience.
