Loved the style of the house, and lovely murals and decor, just the bathrooms need a little updating…if you choose the room with the bath, just be aware it’s a long way down, so if you’re less flexible, then I would suggest a room with a shower cubicle!!!

It was a bit difficult to find the hotel in the dark and to park.

Overall great place. Very nicely decorated, cosy rooms, friendly staff and good breakfast. Highly recommended!

The only downside was the Wi-Fi signal was weak, so we couldn’t connect from our room but this didn’t really impact our stay.

Cosy and charming boutique hotel. We were warmly welcomed by owner Maria. The room was immaculate and facilities were great, we had a very comfortable stay. The breakfast was delicious, lots of home-made items. Location was good, only a short drive to the Mystras Castle and Sparta, and about 1.5 hour drive to Monemvasia and Kalamata.

The only negative is that it needs better sign posting and perhaps a sign to confirm where you park your car.

Everything! Friendly greeting, impeccable service, beautifully decorated. Don’t judge a book by its cover from the simple outside door… once you step inside… Beautiful breakfast and some lovely eateries in town, plus a lovely coffee shop. Would highly recommend, it really is perfect here.

The recommended restaurant was several miles away and although very nice, it was isolated. Walking to one of the local eateries is a better option for being with the locals.

From the outside it did not look like anything special, then one opens the doorto a lovely facility with lovely patio and gardens. Our rooms were in out buildings set in the garden area. they were roomy, the baths spacious and everything worked. The breakfast was ample and the dining area roomy and nicely decorated. One could take one's breakfast out to the tables on the patio if so inclined. It was just a short walk to the center of the village and a number of restaurants. Our hostess spoke excellent English.

Ask for the 'yellow room'; whilst all rooms are lovely, this is just beautiful with wonderful views and full of light. We expected a low key B&B and were delighted with the quality of Pyrgos. friendly and helpful staff and a delicious hearty breakfast - what's not to like?

We felt lucky to be staying in this beautiful small hotel. It's set in a quiet location away from the centre of Mistras and there is a sense of tranquility from the moment you step through the door. Our room was, quite simply, beautiful - with plenty of space and carefully chosen decor. The swallows frieze on the wall topped it off for me. Breakfast was a treat - an array of fresh produce.

What an amazing stay!!! A charming monastery in a perfect garden, so well decorated, so clean, so quiet. Very fairy tale like experience. An absolutely incredible modern bathroom, quiet AC, nice beds. Did I mention quiet? Owner Maria is very warm and welcoming. The breakfast was outstanding. We absolutely loved our stay. What a value. Thank you Maria!

For us the beds were too soft … but we do like firm beds No kettle to make tea and/ or coffee in the room The room key was quite a challenge and having to key yourself out as well as in was annoying

The Pyrgos of Mystra is a beautifully restored stone mansion nestled in the mountains around Mystras, which has been transformed into a charming hotel. The interior is absolutely stunning, blending ancient elements with elegant decor. The hotel also boasts a lovely garden of orange trees, with a shaded terrace — a perfect spot to relax in the serene surroundings. One of the highlights of the stay was the delicious buffet breakfast, featuring a variety of delightful Greek specialties. The buffet included some of the best olives I’ve ever tasted during my time in Greece. If you’re looking for a peaceful retreat with a touch of history and excellent local cuisine, this hotel is a perfect choice.
