My room on the third floor had some traffic noise coming through from the street even with closed windows but the bigger noise issue is from the corridor, the door to the room was definitely not isolated and there is no runner or carpet so all the sounds from the corridor were echoing loudly in the room (you could hear people waking, talking and opening/closing their own doors etc)

Great team, super friendly and helpful. The room was clean and spacious. Great water pressure in the shower and fast WiFi.

The location was noisier than expected but this is no fault of the hotel, I guess it’s the price you pay for being within the city centre. Nonetheless, it’s a convenient location to stay in.

The staff were amazing, so attentive and always making sure that I was okay. This was especially important to me as I was travelling alone and they ensured that I was comfortable throughout my stay. Thank you!

Gym, sauna and pool were way below the standard of a 5 star hotel but the price was better than a lot of 4 star places nearby.

The staff were all exceptional, professional and friendly. The restaurant and bar on the top floor had incredible views of The Acropolis. Room was extremely clean and great proximity to the main square which is a pleasant 15 minute walk or 5 euros in a taxi.

The parking is not im the hotel, you need to walk 2-3 minutes from the hotel and go down and up 2 floors in the shared parking. But still, it is very good that there is parking included!!

Excellent new & modern hotel in central part of Athens. From the restaurant at the top if the hotel you can both see the Lycabettes hill and Acropolis in two different directions from the restaurant terrace!! Also one very good thing - there is a free parking included in the price.

Nothing really although the cooked breakfast could have been a little warmer (for my tastes). Overall the breakfast however was very nice and varied with great service.

Location was good, very close to old town and most of the sights etc. View of Acropolis at breakfast. The complimentary mini bar and chocolates in reception are a nice added touch.

When we booked the room, I made a mistake and booked it for November instead of October. When I changed the date, the hotel was reluctant at first saying the payment was not refundable. After explaining the situation and with the help of the third party we booked the room through, the hotel finally agreed to change the date but added another $68.00 to the price of the room. I had no choice but to pay it because I needed the room for 1 night.

The staff was great and very helpful. We were early arriving and they took care of our luggage until we returned from exploring the area and would have taken our luggage to our room but we declined that service. Everything was great.

Room modernly decorated, very clean, comfortable bed. Staff very welcoming and supportive. We received a welcome drink with choclate, The mini bar contents were included in the room rate and fruits and sweet were waiting for us in the room. Breakfast was great, dining room we very nicely organised. Good variety of food. Excellent coffee, made and served by the staff (not the usual automatic machine).provided. We will surely return to the hotel on our next visit in Athens.

It was a bit cold on the beginning and air condition worked always to heat it. Using shower makes all bath wet, there is no solution for that.

The room really could use a lamp on the desk. There was no place out to put computer or other things and I had to do some work and there was no light to see what I was doing after 5pm. This needs attention to. I would warm up the room a bit if they included a throw rug at the foot of the bed just to get the room a bit more warmth to its look when entering. Lastly, there were no wash cloths. Only hand and body towels.

Breakfast was excellent with so many options and a nice view. All the staff were wonderful and went out of their way to make me feel welcome and comfortable. I use the gym alot and found it clean and adequate enough to get a good workout in. It was a short walk beside the park to all the attractions, shopping, restaurants. Good safe location. Overall I would stay there again as the price I paid was well worth coming back too!

When we arrived at the hotel the lady that welcomed us after our check-in recognized my name by saying “you are the lady with the many questions”. Not so polite for a 5-star hotel even if I made 2 phone calls asking for some details about the hotel (about the view, about the noise) I was somehow disappointed with a few things considering that the hotel is a 5-star luxury hotel. For example, there was a big hole in the wall behind the door (probably because of the doorknob). A big damage for a 6th-month new hotel and not repaired. The window didn’t close properly so the noice of the busy street was quite annoying during our first day. My friend fix it after our first night spent there but when we opened it again for fresh air the next morning there was a problem and had to fix it for the second night spent there. This also has to be repaired for the next guests so they are not annoyed with the sound of traffic. No hangers in the bathroom for towels and bathrobes. No hangers in the room for coats or towels except from the wardrobe where there was not enough space for 2 small cabin luggages.

The location , the view of the Acropolis, and the design of this brand new hotel. The staff were very friendly and always there with their smile to serve us. A lovely bottle of vine and fruits were offered as a gift! The mini bar was full of drinks offered too. Unfortunately,because of the strikes I had to rearrange my trip and change the dates of my arrival and departure. The staff was so helpful that even if my booking was not refundable and changeable they rearranged it without any penalty. Lovely tasteful breakfast with a big variety for all kinds of taste

Next time, I would ask for a room on a higher floor as the hotel is located on a main road / junction, so a little on the noisy side. This would not stop me from staying again, however.

I received a lovely, warm welcome as soon as I arrived and was bold-over by the kindness of all hotel staff for the duration of my stay. The food & service were excellent for a ‘hotel restaurant.’ Breakfast was delicious and much enjoyed with a view from the top floor. I felt the hotel service to be personable and I was always offered help or assistance without ever needing to ask. My room was comfortable, light and well-equipped. (How lovely to receive so many refreshments on the house! I learnt a new word: Kalosorisate - which I feel sums up Greek culture beautifully). The proximity of the hotel to restaurants, bars, cafés & shops is unbeatable. And, of course, the Acropolis. My experience in 5* hotels would call The Athenaeum excellent value for money. I think the service, particularly, is what stands out to me. Thank you for my stay.

Great place to stay. 10 minutes walk from the Plaka to enjoy a good restaurant. The staff are amazing, super friendly and helpful. We came with a rental car and they escorted us to a nearby parking space. Breakfast buffet is superb and the room is great, big with a very comfortable bed. I will come here again for sure when in Athens.

I believe car parking is not the best around there but the personnel did the extra mile providing me an option that served well. Soundproof is an issue in the room door.

Short stay. Arrived late in the evening, tired but front desk was of high standards. We were welcomed by Mr Dimitris, who explained everything throroughly and did his best to make the stay an excellent one. He succeed by far. Room at a high floor was quiet with a magnificent view to Parthenon, Acropolis. Bedding and bed was excellent. Excellent breakfast (Quality, variety, room, cuttlery). Good quality espresso was available both in the room and in the breakfast. The breakfast room at top floor with excellent view. Staff was warm and polite. Fast and easy check out with big smiles by Anna. Highly recommend it.
