How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

I loved it from the moment I arrived, the reception was impressive, with all the information I needed to know. The staff is very nice, I really felt very comfortable. I recommend it without a doubt, it is one of the best hostels I have visited in my life.

I loved the comfort and cleanliness that this place offers. The bedrooms are spacious, you have your own light and locker, the common area is quite comfortable and they have a VERY NICE terrace!

I am leaving very grateful to all the people who work at the hostel because they make my stay something very nice and for being so attentive to me. The hostel is a beautiful place, with a quite relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. I highly recommend it, it is ideal for work/study.

There's literally nothing to complain.
The staff is extremely friendly and helps you with anything. The free breakfast is really delicious and self made. Everything looks new and is always clean, nice rooftop.

It can get noisy early in the morning because of traffic on the street. It would be nice to be able to choose between 2 options for breakfast, this is just for me personally as I prefer a sweet breakfast instead of a salty one.
A new hostel in Antigua. Very cute with good breakfast and comfortable beds. The facilities are are constantly being cleaned by the staff. It was nice to relax on the rooftop terrace.

I had a very relaxing stay at Flore Hostel. Its located beside a lot of very good bars, cafes and restaurants and close to beautiful sites. They organise tours and shuttles from their front desk so you don't have to search for tour operators in the town. Breakfast is included in the price which is great because it can be annoying trying too find a decent place when you wake in the morning. Its nutritious also, not a bowl of corn flakes with toast which is common in hostels at this price range. Definitely not a party hostel but still a lovely atmosphere. Probably because of the way the space is designed its easy to meet chat to other guests.

I really enjoyed my stay at Flore Hostel. The wonderful staff and owners have taken care of everything here. The beds in our dorm were very big, private and comfortable. Bathroom and shower areas were spotless with hot water running all day (a big plus after doing the amazing Acatenango hike which Flore organised). The free breakfast was delicious and healthy. And with a beautiful terrace and patio area I chat with other guests or chill with my laptop and use their very fast internet. Coffee was top notch also!

Flore is a beautifully decorated hostel that is super cosy. The beds are comfortable and very private and it was very clean. The staff helped me organise my trip to Acatenango and the food and coffee is delicious.

Flore Hostel is a beautifully designed hostel that is super clean at all hours of the day. The staff are so kind and helpful and gave me a tonne of info about Antigua and Guatemala. Breakfast in the morning was delicious and the beds are very private and comfortable. I had an amazing nights sleep as this is not a party hostel but has a lovely friend atmosphere during the day. Excellent Hostel.

Super friendly people! THIS IS A RECOMMENDATION!!! I was very late at the hostel and was perfectly shown around and explained. Super tasty breakfast everytime! The owners are very social and super friendly! Same as the staff really is a top team there! Staff helped me with everything, excursions, things to visit, info, transfer! The prices they propose are very good too! NO scam prices like you can find in many hostels or other tour places! Bed was good! Room temperature was perfect every time even on hot days! Everything was continuously cleaned! Very Clean nothing to complain about! The beds are good and you have your own large locker to store things. The place is perfectly for visiting the city!

They say the beautiful terrace is closed at 6pm. But they kept it open into the evening for us no problem which was nice.
Excellent location near some nice places to eat and drink. Really sturdy bunk beds that dont make noise when moving with very comfortable beds.

This hostel was the perfect place for me to relax after a long bus journey. Comfortable beds, delicious breakfast, attentive staff and nice places to hang out. Will definitely return when I pass through Antigua next month.

I loved everything!
This is such a beautiful hostel. The design is modern yet cosy. They have 2 stunning social areas, a patio and a terrace, to chill. The breakfasts were delicious and changed every 2 days. Spotlessly clean. The staff could not do any more for me and finally the coffee was 10/10. Well done guys!
