Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomNothing I can think of.
I arrived early from a long haul flight and an early check in was arranged. The room was clean, large and comfortable. The staff were welcoming and very helpful. The hotel was good value.

United StatesThe poorest feature of the hotel is that the ground level access to avoid stairs or escalator (for wheelchairs or baby strollers) is awful-- it is back-of-house through the parking garage with no good pedestrian path, so you are just walking through ugly concrete in the path of driving cars. This part was not well-designed. Even the ground floor access to the escalator required a step to go up, which did not consider wheelchair needs. The front lobby is only accessible from the outside via a long flight of stairs, hence making the other two ground floor entries the only way for anything or anybody that needs to be wheeled. The air conditioner was not customizable and we were quite cold much of the time, wanting to increase the AC temperature a bit. We were told that it is impossible to change room by room, but that if we were cold from the AC, we should use the portable heater in the room-- which seemed absurd to waste energy on a portable heater to combat AC when it was perfect weather outside! The sliding doors that closed off from the living room from the bedroom portion also never shut tightly to keep out the light and noise from the living room to the bedroom; we had to stuff towels or other objects underneath the door in order to make them stay closed tightly, otherwise they kept sliding open. There were also a number of overhead lights that kept flickering or turning off in the room. Finally, for a 1-bedroom suite of this nice size, it would be helpful to have a larger mini refrigerator, as well something to heat food, whether it is a small microwave, steamer, or hotplate. The room was also lacking plates and utensils.
Breakfast buffet inclusion was great, as well as the executive lounge access and the view from up there! Very worth the access. The 1-bedroom suite had an excellent large bathroom and views, and was very spacious and comfortable. The shower in particular had excellent pressure and temperature, with its rain shower heard. Plenty of closet space in the bathroom/bedroom, as well as upfront in the front hallway.

Hong KongOnly one receptionist at the lobby . Inefficient when there is a queue, especially at 8.30am. No concierge to assist him so he had to handle enquiries, check in n out, luggage storage , call cabs etc. P rice can be more competitive compared to other hotels in Shatin area. No shuttle bus to nearby train station.
Given an upgrade to river view.

AustraliaThe quality of tea bags can be improved. It would be great if there are small plates and cutlery for cutting and eating snacks and fruits. It will be perfect if there is a microwave.
Very stable and good wifi which is important for video meetings. Room is spacious and well designed. Very comfortable bed. Love the exceptionally high ceilings. Mini fridge is handy. Sound proof is great.

United StatesVery pleasant experience! The atmosphere was very relaxing, just what I needed. I want to give the front desk manager Roy and the service operator, Vicky, a big thank you. They were both excellent to work with! I left my earrings, and they made sure I received them before I left the country, but little did I know I also left one of my credit cards, and they also made sure I received it with the earrings. Great hotel and they will be my stop again when traveling thru HK

United KingdomGreat hotel and location. I would highly recommend this hotel. Room service staff (especially Janice) were fabulous. The hotel is about 10 minutes walk from the metro. Easy access to the main attractions. There is a square with two plazas bustling with shops and restaurants. We ate locally a few times when we didn't feel like venturing out in the evening.

AustraliaN/A - I love coming here
This property is exceptional because it is probably one of the most tranquil stays you’ll have in HK. It’s airy and full of natural light, has thoughtful touches such as filtered water taps in the corridors, a great hotel gym and a lovely infinity pool (in summer months). The team are thoughtful, cheerful and genuinely nice! The rooms are comfortable, clean and everything functions. There is no dampness unlike some other HK hotels. I usually have to work while in HK from my hotel room and the wifi is very strong and stable. The desk is also equipped with a handy customisable desk lamp and a large desk. It’s an excellent hotel by all standards. This was my second stay and I was grateful to have been upgraded to a suite! It was a marvellous experience and if you can afford it, I recommend trying it out.

I travel here for work regularly and I normally stay in the busier parts of Hong Kong. This time I wanted to say somewhere a little quieter and away from the crazy busy city. It’s just a quick train trip into the city from the station which is just a few blocks away. Or five to ten minutes walk. There’s lots of supermarkets and places around to get what you need and restaurants as well. I really enjoyed my stay and I enjoyed walking along the river. Takes a little bit longer to get there. I’ve got a taxi from the train station. It didn’t cost much and it was very fast and efficient. The rooms are very clean and tidy and comfortable and a little bit larger than you’d normally get in Hong Kong. The breakfast was fantastic.
