Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

AustraliaThe restaurant was really expensive. We can Off a flight and decided to go there and get a small snack. We opted for 2 onion soups and 2 coke no sugar and the total bill was $72 aus!
It was in a good location. There was a Starbucks and pizza express within 3 minutes walk. The hotel was very clean.

Service is really great. I got my birthday upgrade to club floor where the view is awesome! And a tasty red wine. Our flight was cancelled due to typhoon saola, the hotel offers us the same room with almost the same price. And the next day since our flight status was still not clear, they let us check out 2 hours late without additional charge.

Hong KongI stayed for 3 nights 4 days but only second day with room cleaning. The third day I returned the room at 4pm but room cleaning was not performed. Also I booked for a large bed but they just provided me with two adjoining beds with gaps in between. You can only use a small bed on one side.
Convenient location. Large room with good sea view. Good breakfast and dinner buffets.

CanadaYour reception staff could have been more efficient. I observed bottle-necks and long queues happened quite often. It took more than 10 minutes in average to process a check-in. The staff could have been better trained, even those at Le 1688. The room furniture was terrible! It was poorly designed! Virtually there are no drawers except the bedside tables that have drawers. They are all shelves that cannot store clothings.
Le 1688 restaurant is the best selling point. The view is excellent. The lobby is grand. The price is moderately affordable.

New ZealandPossibly some milk in the fridge for tea? We didn't ask and I'm sure we would have got some, but there was nothing in the fridge.
We stayed here as a quick stop over on our way back to New Zealand. It was great and had the most comfy beds ever!! We also used the pool which was great to cool down. We caught the 102 and 112 bus to the markets and the A11 bus to the airport - all of which was very easy from the hotel.
