Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. United KingdomI was charged the full amount when I made the booking via Booking.com (several days before the actual stay). When I arrived at the hotel, the hotel reception claimed that I have not paid and asked to pay again for the two-night stay. At that moment, I could not remember if I have paid or not so I agreed (I was also in a rush). A few days after the hotel stay, I noticed that my bank account was charged twice for the hotel stay (once during booking and once on arrival). I immediately went through the lengthy process and contacted Booking.com. I provided all my bank account details including printscreen of my bank account as requested by Booking.com. After days of communications, Booking.com informed me that the hotel refused to refund because they think the amount was only reserved/guaranteed and not deducted from my bank account and claimed the excess charge would be returned usually 14 days afterwards. Three weeks after my hotel stay, I still have not got my refund. I phoned the hotel. An impatient male staff again claimed the charge was only reserved. He asked me to wait till the end of the month. I explained to him that this is not a credit card, I used a debit card/Union Pay and the charge has already been deducted from bank account. He seems not to understand and said he did not care what card was used and asked me to email them instead which I did. I got a reply explaining the ‘authorization code is released within approximately 3 to 4 weeks. However, in some cases, it may take 1 to 2 months for the debit card authorizations to be released.’ ‘Considering your situation, we have personally contacted the credit card center … to expedite the cancellation of the authorization code.’ Now four weeks after my hotel stay, the hotel still has not refunded the excess charge of HKD 1700. Future guests have to be prepared that this hotel may charge you twice the amount and will take 1 to 2 months (as above) before you get back the excess charge.
The room is bright, spacious, clean, tidy and in a good condition.

South AfricaThe bed was very hard and only a sheet and pillows provided - no blanket/quilt for colder nights. The curtains were old and shabby, the furniture was scuffed and wardrobe door hinge was practically falling off. The safe didn’t always work and no instructions were provided. The bathroom was old and needs modernizing - not enough towels, floor wasn’t always clean, very basic toiletries provided. Lifts were incredibly slow to arrive. Public areas were shabby and reception was clinical rather than welcoming.

AustraliaThe bath mat was taken away after night one and never replaced. The coffee on the beverage tray wasn't replaced, neither was the soap. The walls are paper thin and we could hear normal conversation in the next room quite plainly. The location is OK once you arrived. Getting luggage to and from the hotel is difficult unless you use taxis. We had to walk our luggage two blocks from and to the MTR. Trams and buses (both very convenient just around the corner) aren't viable with suitcases. There is one horrible, vile bar called Bar Pacific nearby (if you use bars) otherwise you must take public transport to other centres. This hotel does not have a bar.

AustraliaHousekeeping is always provided daily and there is no way to reject this service. Was in the room at 11am on my first two days and heard the door knock by the housekeepers to request to clear refuse. On my third day I was out early in the morning and by the time I came back in the evening, the entire room has been cleaned by the housekeepers. There is no signage provided to accept or reject this housekeeping service.
Decent size and cleanliness. Will recommend to anyone not expecting exceptional service or cleanliness as property appears to be quite old and run down but able to offer the basics of a decent room with clean sheets. Hotel is quite a DIY as there is not many staff manning the counter. Overall, satisfied with the location and in-house facilities/amenities.
