Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IndiaSize of rooms, cleanliness and property itself
Hotel room was very small for the amount we spent! Not sure if they used wide angle camera for all pics posted on web and on Booking.com. The room is not at all comfortable for 2 people. Bathroom and toilet space was also very less. I won’t recommend Ramada Harbour View Hotel to anyone.

United KingdomBooking.com took payment the day before. Hotel took payment again on the day. Which I had to stand at reception and sort out for over half an hour when I was jet lagged and have a fractured foot. Someone at this hotel has also committed fraud on my account via the Booking.com app which I still haven't received back from Booking.com or the hotel. I have been waiting for this to be investigated and returned for over 3 weeks pluz now. I would NOT reccomend this hotel at all.
The location is good.

New ZealandThe room was very small and inferior to that shown on the website. The air-conditioning was noisy and made very little difference to the temperature in the room. The room had not been cleaned thoroughly. The lifts in the hotel are extremely busy and long waits are required. For instance, it took over 10' to get from my room down to the reception desk to check out.
The hotel is fine for a 1 - 2 night stay and is close to the MRT station.

AustraliaVery small room (pictures posted at Booking.com are deceiving). You can't even open 2 luggage at the same time Very small fridge: looked like a toy and not cold Bed was not comfortable Curtains and pillows appeared not cleaned or washed I liked the piano melody inside the hotel, but it was repetitive. I guessed only 1 tune was played for half a day.
Location: very accessible to transport and local markets Able to leave luggage before and after check-in

TaiwanEXTREMELY MESSY. Cockroaches came out to say hi, molds on the bathroom curtain looks like a designed pattern, and the drain is blocked which you can still enjoy the water pool in the morning with the dehumidifier on all the night. Don’t even want to mention the noises made by aircon, which sounds like it’s looking for the retirement. Reported to the front desk and asked if we can change a clean room, the front desk replied it’s peak season and all the rooms are dirty???! The front desk did send the cleaning auntie to the room, but the cleaning auntie was sent to kill the cockroaches without any pesticide lol She might think I don’t speak Cantonese, so she called to the front desk and said the following statement in front of me and my friend, “it’s only a tiny cockroaches, they are making a fus.” “好細隻既曱甴,冇咩嘢,大喊十…” Excuse me I do understand Cantonese. I directly called to the front desk again, and this time is the other guy Pickering up the call. I told him what I’ve heard and the room change is a must. He said he will ask the manager, and I asked him how long is the reply. He committed to call back in 5 mins while NEVER. I called him back after 10 mins and he said he can arrange it but needed the other 4 hours. Thanks god I had to travel back to the hotel in the middle of my day visit for the damn CLEAN room. The condition of the changed room is under average with weird room design and again, shouting-to-retire aircon. Please do not treat this as a special case as what I thought other reviews before. After asked couple of my Cantonese friends, Ramada series is a huge NO even as a budget hotel. Thank you for watching my review. P.S. the average waiting time for the elevator is at least 10 mins. Only 4 elevators available for 38 floors with 20 rooms each floor.
The location is nice. Around 5 mins walk away from Sai Ying Pun station. Sea view is a plus if you are at higher floor.

United KingdomThe experience started with a 30 minute queue to check in. The first room I checked into must have been really far away from the router because the wifi signal only had one bar and kept dropping out whenever I tried to use it (even sending a simple message on whatsapp would take 10 minutes to go through). Because of this they moved me to a smaller room. The room smells damp, the shower curtain is moldy, and the bathroom is so small that only a double amputee would be able to sit on the toilet (I'd estimate there is probably about 10cm between the toilet and the base of the bath). They provided instant coffee sachet in the first room but no utensils to stir the coffee with. a phone call to housekeeping resulted in a 30 minute wait for a disposable spoon. The following day they didn't provide any instant coffee or tea so I phoned housekeeping again, 45 minutes later it still hadn't arrived so I went out (when I got back, just one sachet of coffee had been left - no sugar, creamer or tea). The mattress is comparable to sleeping on a concrete block. There is frequently a waiting time of more than 5 minutes for the elevator (and the ground floor hallway is like a sauna). Apparently this place served as a quarantine hotel during the pandemic. I feel deeply sorry for anyone who had to endure this place for a prolonged period of time. The best thing that could have happened to this hotel after the pandemic would be for it to be bulldozed. For just a little bit more money you can get somewhere significantly nicer. By far the worst hotel I've ever stayed in Hong Kong.
The member of staff on the front desk was friendly when I complained about the lack of internet access from my room. Unfortunately, there are no other redeemable features of this property.

AustraliaWell they gave me the worst room they could find. I was given a disable room which I did not need. Room was very very small bed very very basic and room had mould in bathroom. Shower water plug wast dirty with hair. The swiming pool was out of order when I went to use it. There was no mention of pool out of order on websight. There was no signs in lift to say pool was out of order so I get up there and that was a waste as I booked it for the pool. There is no fire escape at pool level no phone either so if the lift gets stuck and does not go to level then you need to just wait.

AustraliaThis place ignores the customer, they take your money and sort of give you bed while barely clean the place. Whoever runs the hotel should be ashamed, it's one thing to miss the cleaning but ignoring the customer requests to fix it is the next level bad. Definitely not worth the almost HK$500 I paid. I won't be coming back ever again. About the room: No soap to wash hands, no tea or coffee (just kettle), ignored the request for double room and instead gave me twin. Dirty shower curtain (molds). No wardrobe. Nobody pickups the phone at the reception to fix problems. When I moved one of the beds to make it sort of doubleroom I found enough trash behind the bed to fill in the provided trash bin - wow. Avoid this place - if you pay HK$200 (total) for some of those places in TST it's almost the same as here or add HK$200 and stay in some place that is actually decent. Final Note: I gave hotel 1 week advance notice to remedy the situation (at least an apology would be nice) before I posted this review and nobody even replied "we are on it, please hold on" so here I'm 10 days later.
The only good thing about this place is location. The checkout was really fast to be fair. As for the rest - avoid, see the bad stuff below.
