Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

MauritiusThe concierge during our check-in late at night was very rude and plain lied to us, saying standard rooms were not available anymore. He said we would need to pay for a suite instead, because every other rooms were sold out, and that the Booking.com availability was not up-to-date. This was obviously false and we finally were able to check-in to our room after 45 minutes of absurd negotiations, after which he finally realized that the room we had booked was actually available. The whole situation made no sense at all... We were also very disappointed in how the staff didn't want to accommodate us at all for any late check-out after 2pm, despite the room being available. They however mentioned that they could offer a late check-out until 6pm for a fee of 1,100 HKD, which was very close to the price of one full extra night which was 1,300 HKD on Booking.com. That seemed very exaggerated.
Beautifully designed hotel in a good location.

GermanyStaff was downright unfriendly. Check-in took forever, the person working at the check-in counter typed and typed on her computer while going through an endless checklist of do's and don'ts, with very bad english. At the bar, staff was exceptionally rude, telling my partner - after looking my partner up and down - that there is no searing on the terrace, while seating another couple on the terrace only seconds later. When pressed about it, they did seat us on the terrace, only to ignore us after bringing a first round of drinks. Made us feel very uncomfortable - maybe we didn't look rich enough? Room service person did not speak a word of English. Room was surprisingly small and did not have a closet for storing clothes, only a small open rack. If you are on a floor below 20 (as we were), there is no view, because you look right at the front of the building on the other side of the street. Overall experience was in very stark contrast to other Hotel experiences we had in Hong Kong.
Great location, beautiful building, helpful and friendly doorman/bell person on ground floor. Nice lounge area with good coffee.

United KingdomMy stay at The Hari hotel in Hong Kong was an absolute nightmare. The staff were shockingly rude, annoying, and painfully slow. Despite being exhausted from a long journey, they had the audacity to drag out the check-in process for a whopping hour. Their lack of accommodation and barrage of intrusive questions made me feel like a criminal being interrogated by the police. As if that wasn't enough, the guest experience director, Joanne Lau, topped it off with her own brand of rudeness, offering zero apology for the atrocious service. Save yourself the trouble and steer clear of this hotel – it's an experience I wouldn't wish upon my worst enemy.

SingaporePoor use of space. Could be better 1. There’s an extra cabinet inside the bathroom where the extra coffee capsules and cups placed. Weird and not so hygienic. 2. A small sofa infront of the bed, when it could be next to the bed where the table is. Which meant that you have no space to open the luggage. Better to close it before the cleaning lady comes in. Or where is she going to find space to drag the vacuum in? Get rid of the sofa! Location a problem 1. Hari Hotel Location is about 500metres from Wanchai MTR. No elevator at this mtr exit! And kinda far to walk and bumpy to drag luggage. Just take Uber. 2. A street filled with renovation material shops which I wasn’t expecting. It gets very dark at night as these shops close early. Comparing to vibrant mongkok langham area. This street is filthy and has a stench, as the garbage Center is quite near too. 3. Try putting Hari hotel as the location on Uber, they will ask you to select somewhere close like Buddhist association. Which is next to it? Put a note to stop at Hari Hotel but some taxis never heard of this place?? Sometimes Uber cancel due to trouble to detour just to be on the right direction to Hari. Annoying. Feedback to their staff and they suggested to put the closest or flag but no intention to fix this exact location. Please fix! 4. Coming back to the hotel is another problem, takes a far out u turn and some drivers will grumble. Sometimes they want you to stop opposite and cross over. And it was raining. Driver problem so too bad! Maybe walk and take the mtr. 5. Food around here is quite The room has good acoustics done but the problem is the door. I could hear people walking up and down the hallway. Hair shampoo is too drying and the conditioner doesn’t help much. Looks luxurious that’s all. Room is quite dusty… I poured a glass of water and I was going to drink from it again and I saw a lot of dust floating on it. Is it from pulling the curtains? I’m not sure. Time to wash the curtains….
Posh vibe. Nice dark mysterious interior. Room looks newly renovated and bright! Has everything you need. Over plush towels, comfy beds, slippers, coffee and tv airplay. Clean! It’s also a great bubble to be in with nice restaurants. Cute coffee place “Lungo” around the corner. And close to causeway bay. Haven’t seen any kids at this hotel, mainly for business.

AustraliaAlmost none of the rooms have any view out of the windows ( the fact which you will not find either on traveller's photos on tripadvisor or anywhere else). We were on level seventeen in a somewhat more expansive "corner room" staring at the rusty plumbing pipes and an ugly wall twenty metres away. The breakfast is also quite modest with limited choices. The hotel is situated in among the industrial side of town surrounded among the shops selling building supplies which doesn't lend itself to the leisurely atmosphere. If you are looking for an overnight stay or a short business trip by yourself Hari is perfect but I wouldn't choose it for a leisurely family occasion
I liked the interior design of the rooms

PortugalWe stayed in a room described as King Size - which did have a kingsize bed but the size of the toilet was very cramped. If you are say 6' your thighs are too long to use the toilet even with your face jammed up against the wall in front of you. Materials and appointments in rooms are good - designed to qualify for 5 star rating but rating should have been failed due to tiny toilet. NB 80% of rooms are probably of the same layout, so it's a general issue to consider when staying at this hotel. We returned because we had stayed previously, in a corner room - which wa s c50% bigger and therefore felt much spacious.

FranceLate arrival and fair welcome Room marketed as a twin-bedded room, but it was impossible to open a single suitcase because it was so cramped. Little advice or discussion Light breakfast, buffet limited to 2 dishes and a few vegetables For this price, you can get a hotel on the other side of the river with better standards and real service.
