Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

MongoliaEverything about the hotel was perfect: location, room service, maintenance, internet, staff. Very close to bus and subway station. So many great restaurants nearby, small grocery stores everywhere. There is a close bus stop that you can get to and from airport for 34.5HKD; no need for additional arrangements. We were super satisfied with our choice. Definitely gonna stay here again!

Lots of spaces in the room & bathroom, unlike other places. Very clean and comfortable with a/c running all the times, to keep room cool. Good values, didn't even know breakfast is provided as part of the stay.

NetherlandsThe beds are a bit short for people over 1.85m.
The lodge is situated in a quit street next to Nathan Road. That makes it a perfect base to explore the city. MTR station just arround the corner and the A21 busstop to the airport just across the street. Lots of places to eat in the neighborhood. The room was big enough and fully equipped. Nice big private bathroom with hot shower and fresh towels every day. Breakfast is simple but oke to start the day. Staff is helpfull and friendly. The free airport pickup was well organized and very convenient.

My repeat stay at SABL had been consistently positive. The location is convenient with easy access to various eateries as well as transportation options. More importantly the staff are always friendly and helpful, particularly the person who swiftly responded to the air conditioning issue raised and resolved the problem almost immediately and effectively.

Excellent location with both bus and metro a few minutes walk away. Direct airport bus runs every half hour, A21, $34.60 HKD, takes 55 minutes and get off at Man Ming Lane stop, 2 mins from Booth Lodge. If using metro use exit C. Reception on 7th floor. Very friendly and helpful staff, lovely clean room on the 11th floor with a view of Kowloon. Basic breakfast with cereal, toast and dim sum. Would certainly recommend. Thank you for a lovely stay.

SwedenExcellent stay at the Salvation Army Booth Lodge! Not only was the location amazing (2 mins from Yau Ma Tei Station and seconds away from convenience stores and restaurants) it was also a great experience! All the staff were very friendly and helpful and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The beds are a bit firm but they give you ample amount of pillows. They warn you that they don't have shampoo and shower gel in the bathroom but they also sell some for a good price in the reception. The free breakfast is nice with an offering of toast, cereal and dim sum. Always nice when we needed something to eat before a busy day! They offer a free shuttle service from the airport for you as well which was amazing! You can even pay for shuttle service back to the airport for a good price (around 400 hkd depending on how many people, bags and what time). I would really recommend this place if you're looking for something comfortable with a good location! This was our first stay in Hong Kong and staying at the Salvation Army Booth Lodge helped make it a great stay.

AustraliaNicely laid out room and bathroom. Very clean. Unluckily i had to curtail my stay in HK and was refused a refund of any sorts of unused nights even on compassionate grounds. This place is very popular and they would have been able to resell my extra nights easily. However all said and done, it was their policy. The room temperature was adjustable though some reviews indicated that there was no control. Breakfast was simple but adequate. I highly recommend this hotel. Staff were excellent and the deal of an airport transfer was great.

PhilippinesNo bidet but that applies to most hotels in Hong Kong. Other than that, everything in the room was EXCELLENT!!!!!
location: less than 5min walk to Yau Ma Tei MTR station (Exit C) or 7 minutes from Exit D; 5 minute walk from Airport Bus (in front of Bank of China), 7-11 nearby and lots of restaurant options. Mongkok Night Market and Temple Street Night Market were just 10-15 minutes away. Nothing beats the customer service and the accommodating staff. Kudos to a job well done and making your guests feel special. You are all truly appreciated (from the reception staff and everyone else). Communicating with the staff is a breeze. Will definitely book again if I come back.

Very nice and modern room, clean, hotel was close to public transport, restaurants, supermarket, the staff was very friendly. For example, we had a late check in due to our late flight, but the staff was perfectly informed and awaited us even in the night. It is almost unbelievable how much quality you get for the price.
