Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Hong KongThe building is surrounded by fresh market so can be a bit messy to walk through the back market street where the main entrance is. Recommend to walk around onto the main tram road to avoid the smell.
Our 2-bedroom apartment is just enough for 3 of us. It was clean and modern even though it's a little small (but good considering it's in Hong Kong where land is limited). The washing machine + dryer is so convenient. There is a pantry for making coffee or tea (not supplied by hotel). The hotel is located in between North Point and Fortree Hill MTR stations, so same distance (5 minutes) to walk either way.

SingaporeThere's no utensils, plates, microwave and bidet. Although its an apartment, there's not much space for luggage.
We booked the Deluxe Harbour View Two Bedroom and its located on the 31st floor. Stunning view from our apartment. Apartment was of decent size for HK and its relatively new. There's a small morning market located right on the street in front of our apartment. Walkable distance to 7-eleven and North Point MTR. There's also a halal fast food eatery nearby, which is convenient for us.

SingaporeNothing I didn't like
There was a lot of food options around the stay. Transportation wise, MTR, Tram and bus were all walking distance. The in-room washer was very helpful.

SingaporeBooked 2 rooms and requested for them to be on same level prior to arrival. Hotel kindly arranged for rooms to be next to each other which made it really convenient for us. Despite being above the wet market street, it was nice and quiet through the nights and early mornings. No bad smells either, and generally clean surroundings. The market by the street is a love or hate thing, good for people who appreciate the very local and neighborhood vibes. Reception and housekeeping staff were very professional, and quickly attended to our request for an extra duvet. Also love how they provide two types of pillows, one soft and one firm. Overall a wonderful experience staying at The Stellar. Thank you.

Brunei DarussalamWiFi is a bit irregular at first but getting better later. The toilet is a bit small with inswing door which made it rather awkward when moving within in the toilet.
We love the layout and ambience of the hotel room which is clean cut and functional. The power outlets are well positioned and adequate. The hotel is also located in a Hong Kong felt neighborhood with a lot of eateries. The walk to the nearest MTR is slightly longer (around 10 min walk to either Fortress Hill station or North Point station) but the walk is generally flat and pleasant.

SwedenToo bad no microwave, nor cutlery. Hard matras, but that’s a personal opinion.
Smal but smart apartment. Everything else was perfect. Location was a bit outside the center but the street the hotel was on was very charming, local transportation near by, could travel quickly anywhere in HK thanks to metro. Plenty of restaurants and convenience stores nearby.

SingaporeThere were no plates or cutlery provided.
The hotel location was convenient. The ding ding terminal is very near, MTR ot bus stop is walking distance. Love the local market and near the harbor. Can see the new Kai Tak Sports Hub. Many eateries nearby. The front staff were friendly, approachable, helpful. They helped us with the Sim card for our mobile phones, located bookstore for us. It was most pleasant talking to them. Good job, well done, our compliments to them.

SingaporeA little far from the MTR so to walk you had to cut across two streets of markets - okay as a lone traveler but with young kids and seniors, may be a bit tricky. Rooms are smaller than expected. One of the lifts were not working so we had to wait a long time for lifts.
Property was clean and fairly new. Simple no frills kind of property. Staff were very friendly. Loved the washer dryer in the room. Not many shops around but many local dining options nearby.

AustraliaUnfortunately We needed to walk downstairs for 17 floor at times of lift outage on the day of incident. My husband’s knee hurt a bit and takes several days to recover. Understand that the lift service disruption was to safeguard the customers safety which is unavoidable.
Convenient access to all types of transport . Everything you need is at your fingertips tips . Washington machine is definitely a merit especially in Hk . Room is spacious with HK standard. Very good customer service. Good emergency response at time of lift service was disrupted by water leakage .

CanadaDuring our stay there, all the elevators were down on one day and we had to climb up and down the stairs. I know a lot of residents were very upset about that. I also wish that there's a microwave in each suite so we don't have to go down to the common pantry to share with other residents.
The location is great. There's an outdoor street market around the property. It's easy to get grocery and find restaurants although it's always crowded. The scent inside the lobby and elevator is very welcoming. Staff are quite friendly.

AustraliaRoom didn’t feel like the advertised 29sqm. Lifts were under the pump with one being serviced for the last month and a second affected by a flooding incident. Staff stepped up to manually operate the lifts. Lack of cutlery and in room coffee was inconvenient. Shower doors / layout was a bit weird.
The staff. Friendly and helpful with regards to room allocation, luggage assistance, and getting us to the taxi (especially since there is a market right in front of the hotel. Rooms were serviced daily and clean. Good hot water pressure in the shower.
