Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThe windows can’t be opened. Even with the AC turned on, the room always had a musty smell. I coughed a lot in the evening!!

United StatesWe knew that the room would be small, but we didn't realize how small they are, which is fine (get what you pay for). I had hoped for a window, since it shows one on the picture, but our room had no window. We only stayed for one night, so it wasn't really a problem.
It was a quick stay, we were only there for one night. The staff were very quick to help us get our room, and the location is great! There are tons of things to see around, and lots of markets to try.

TaiwanThe inn has no night staff, so if you arrive at night you will need to contact them through the website to get a password ~
Hotels in Hong Kong under 1000 a night are cheap and not very good, but I have no choice, because I am poor, the location of the hotel is very good, in Jordan MTR Station B1 exit within 5 meters is the elevator, the room is very small, but meet the price, this building was built in 1964, older than my age, The house price nearby is 300,000 HKD per square meter, which is too surprising to me. Maybe this is also a characteristic of Hong Kong. The inn is very lively around, there are many night markets and shops, a few minutes to Hong Kong's Temple Street, there are food stalls and stalls, to Tsim Sha Tsui only 2 minutes if you take the Hong Kong MTR, is a good accommodation experience, worth the price.

PhilippinesThe instruction on the location published on this site is not accurate. After almost an hour of walking and asking around, we got lucky and found an expat who could speak fluent English and Chinese and was super kind and helped us find it. Even he, was confused when we were trying to locate the address using Google map. It was expensive! We didn't end up staying there and found a far better place in the city centre (the hotel was connected to a shopping mall and underground access to the train station) for almost the same price.

ChinaIt is very suitable for travelers on a limited budget, right at Exit B1 of Jotun MRT Station, I found the hostel very quickly, the rooms are very small, which is understandable in a city with expensive land in the world, the building is actually a little old, but the rooms are very clean. There is a lot of good food nearby and it is very lively at night. I love this place, the price is cheap, the location is great and the staff is very helpful even though I rarely see them

SingaporeWiFi does not exist in the room. Very weak near the door and more than half the room is without WiFi. I am not alone. Many occupants have to go to the lobby for WiFi access. Even the WiFi in the lobby is quite unstable too. The hotel is located on the 2nd floor and is able to hear the traffic clearly day or night. The shower head looks broken for a while and the hotel does not care to replace it. There is no controller for the aircon. You have the option of running it at full blast or turning it off.

CanadaNo staff working at night, so when somebody smoke inside the room and trigger the alarm, nobody comes to help. A mad customer banged the door many times at night until it became malfunctioned, so the next day we don't need to press the pin pad and can get in. Customers who left their luggage at the front at their own risk as anyone can get in.
The rate and the location.
