How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

the stuff was great, all facilities are good, clean rooms, clean bathroom. if you feel chill no one annoys you, if you want to talk - there are a lot of people from different countries and continents to chat with. i enjoyed my stay

The location is a bit remote.
Very friendly, helpful staff. This is probably the cleanest hostel I’ve ever stayed in. Gorgeous bathrooms with plenty of showers and toilets, always clean.

The location is a bit off. I had to climb stairs with the heavy luggage which was not pleasing. Also, could've given toiletries in the showers.
Stay was good with helpful manager and facilities.

Not much to do during the night time in that area
Clean and well organised. Big shower rooms and washing area. Very close the supermarket.

Only downsides for me were the room temperature and the showers: Room temperature was super hot - air con didnt seem to do much Showers (mens) were good (i.e: pressure/temperature) but no privacy space to dry yourself and get dressed Still a good hostel tho
Good size rooms, comfy beds with privacy curtain. Lockers are a good size too and easy to use. Staff were really helpful and nice! Kitchen, social area and vending machine were all good + good number of sinks, toilets, ect - so overall a good experience

It looks a bit dodgy from the outside but it’s so nice on the inside so don’t let it deter you
En route was the best hostel i have ever stayed at. All the facilities were great and through the common areas I met so many people and had an overall incredible time. As the hostel has a quiet time it makes it easy for those who want to party to pre drink and then head out while those who want to sleep can. We also got free perks such as free drinks and entrance into this one beach club because of the hostel. There’s also a supermarket so close like 1min walk if that as well as a pizza restaurant that does €6 pizzas attached to the hostel

It was not the most social one as it’s quiet big, but they have a group chat for travelers staying in this hostel which was helpful :)
Modern, clean, very comfortable, nice location, helpful staff and very comfortable to be inside. I stayed in the room for females only, it was very very clean, quiet even though there’s 18 people inside, I could never hear anyone, the beds are very comfortable and the curtain gives the privacy. Overall very good hostel where I’d definitely stay again

Slightly tricky to find entrance it's round the back

The only thing I didn’t like that the shower cabins were all together so you didn’t really have a space to change instead of directly in the shower.
It was extremely comfortable, they had lots of sink, bathrooms and showers. I loved that the bed was in closed space and with curtains so you could have privacy. The staff were really friendly.

The room for 8 people was big enough and has great lockers with your own passcode. The bed had curtains, light and outlet and the room had AC. Many said it was difficult to find but I can’t say that. For me it was very straightforward. The hostel is a bit away from Old Town, about a 15min walk which is night if it’s not burning hot and humid.
