How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

PERFECT LOCATION right in the main square of Zagreb. I started with location cause honestly it doesn't get any better! The hostel in general is beautiful! very modern, clean and all essentials are available. Breakfast was inclusive (bread,ham,cheese,jams,milk,cereals) more than enough actually. The staff are friendly, the common area is comfortable and the rooms are spacious and designed in a way to offer the most privacy you get in a hostel. Highly recommended!

The cleanliness of the toilets could be a bit better, but I understand that there were a lot of people in the hostel at the time of my stay.
The location of the hostel was amazing, it's right there in the center of the city, so it was easy for me to go everywhere on foot. The breakfast was great and al amenities that are listed in the description are available. The staff is great and very helpful. Overall, it was an amazing stay, would definitely stay there again! :)

everything was perfect . no complains .
Great hostel . It's my second time staying in hostels and I had great time and experience . Friendly stuff , great hosts . Location is very central , as Christmas market its around the hostel , amazing local cuisine . Perfect . recommended . I booked 6 bed female door room but luckily for me I stay alone for the rest of my trip .

The hostel is very tidy, the staff is friendly and available 0-24. Excellent location and price! I really liked this type of dormitory because even though you share a room with other people, you have your privacy. I am delighted and highly recommend it!

You can not sleep there! People are walking all around and you have no peace. It is in center so you here noise from the outside.

I loved that hostel a lot! The organisation and funkture design was very good and convenient. The beds were kinda like cabins were you had your personal space, the bathroom was very clean and you had many options to put your stuff. The breakfast was very good too, they had different fruits, toast with some toppings, a sandwich machine, different kinds of cereal, milk, coffee and tea. also they had some gathering areas and tables, which u could us as working space. I really loved it here!!!!

The communal bathroom was not very clean, and there is no private place to change clothes for the shower. In hostels like this I choose not to shower. The breakfast was also less than appealing, I took a look and went elsewhere to eat.
The beds were nice, comfy, and private. Free towels and locker storage with key.

The entrance is a little hard to find and looks shady. Towels are not included. There is no kitchen for actual cooking.
It's in the center of rhe city, the staff is great, it is clean and every evening they offer group activities for people who want to mingle (mainly pib crawls).

The staff was not attentive and the quality is very very low.
Nothing at all, the water was cold I could not even take a shower, Also the warm blanket was not provided. It was cold in the room as well and the place and the beds are different from the pictures. If you have a claustrophobia do not book with them.

location is very central although feels a bit sketchy when trying to find it. they put me in a mixed dorm which would have been fine if i knew about it and wouldn’t have booked an all female dorm. only 2 showers and 2 bathrooms in the female one which i can imagine gets busy when it’s fully booked. breakfast was v minimal
has lots of potential but needs a lot of improvement.

It can get a tiny bit noisy at night since the hostel is right in the center of the city.
The hostel is perfectly located, can't get more central than that. The bed was very comfy, clean, and neat. This is definitely a young crowd hostel, so if you are looking to make friends, the hostel offers the chance to meet other people.

It could have some kind of bench on the showers, btw not much privacy on the showers/bathroom, have a gap that people can see you.
Everything, very clean, bunk bed but not exactly like private boxes, loved the concept, very nice people there.

Bathrooms needed a bit more maintenance but hey!
Rooms and common areas were amazing. You wouldn't get a better location unless you sleep at the cathedral.

The elevator is very slow and the Hostel is on the 3rd floor
