How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

It was difficult to close the shower door which made me anxious about the floor getting wet, but the host was very forgiving regarding the wet floor.
Location was great. Very friendly host. I was able to use the fridge, which was great.

It is not stated that it is in a pefestriN-only zone, so I couldn't use a taxi. No air-conditioning in my room, there was a fan but I only discovered it on third evening as it was hidden away in. Cupboard.
Close to main promenade. No luxury small room, but almost all the essentials.

The room did get rather hot at night and although there was a fan it was very noisy. I kept the window closed because of outside noise and it was raining hard during one of my evenings.

Room had no air conditioning. It had a small fan that helped when in front of it. Otherwise, the room was very warm. Had to keep the fan running all the time, to keep some airflow. The open window did little to help. Bathroom was not the cleanest.
Owners were nice. Convenient location.

Never felt more welcome and relaxed at any other accommodation in Split, and I've stayed in a lot of different places, felt like I was coming home to family.

A wonderful place, family business thy are so kind and welcoming. Nice clean at a perfect location you can walk to anywhere with in few minutes. Restaurant cafes beach 🏖️ all around you. My flight was delayed for almost four hours got to the place mid night and the lady was there for me. Brilliant communication.

I could smell smoke of cigarettes at night, I think they allow guests to smoke in their rooms and the smell bothered me a little bit. But, maybe I wasn't lucky with my "neighbors" during my stay.
The location was great, only a few steps from the center of Split. But, it was a very quiet street, so no noises during the night! There's this amazing and very kind family hosting you, I really appreciate all the help and suggestions of where to go! I loved to stay in a typical Croatian family home :) My room was very comfortable and clean. I highly recomend!

Unpractical furniture ať the room (noisy little metal tables, a pile of hard pillows on the bed and no place to remove them). Little kitchen without any sink, I washed my dishes at the bathroom

The shared bathroom was not clean - there were hair strands all over the counter, in combs, and on the floor. Bathroom was overstuffed with shower and bath products, there was a used towel hanging, no place to keep my mini travel bath products or clothes. I do understand that it’s a shared bathroom, which is why there needs to be rules around it, that everyone follows. One more v thing: The bed creaks loudly every time you sit down, or even when you turn while sleeping.
Location. Access. Convenience. Hosts (kind, warm and welcoming). All very pleasant. Flexible check in and check out. Friendly, and swift communication exchange.

Absolutely fantastic location - only a couple of streets away from all of the action yet set back enough to be peaceful at night. Run by a warm and welcoming family who were the perfect hosts. They gave me space but I knew they’d be there to help if I needed anything. The place was kept spotless and I really appreciated the free coffee too! Thank you all for the wonderful stay :)

Only small things but would make a difference.The shared bathroom a little cramped.( Not the owners fault)I believe one of the 3 rooms- a lady lives there so lots of things in the bathroom Didn’t see any TV , not that I would watch anything. A fan for the summer heat (I didn’t need it). A tiny Some dishes in the room but not enough basic cutlery to prepare/eat anything. So overall, a bit pricey for the facility - cost value.
The host was a wonderful, very kind and intriguing lady, full of fascinating stories. The room was cute and cozy. Bed quite comfortable. Bookshelves added to the ambiance.

I was scared to walk from the Central Bus Station after dark. It was actually VERY easy. You walk down the walkway north? towards the restaurants and tourist excursions kiosks. Across the road at the zebra crossing. Head around the harbor, walking past all the restaurants. Google maps works fine. It tried to have me walk there an odd way to begin with. Just follow it once you’re past the palace. There is not really any uphill to get to the location and cobblestones are only for about 5 minutes…bump, bump, bump
