Clean and large rooms, great breakfast, very tasty coffe, the dinner was also very tasty. the spa area was clean, relaxing with refreshments. There is an outside sauna with great view. Great place to recharge and relax.

The staff in the spa zone was not very friendly. Depending on the season and price - not quite a fair value for money.

In general very good hotel, but for this price the service needs to be of better quality. We had a dirty glass in the room, which of course was changed quickly. The room was clean and nicely decorated. The breakfast was amazing with an option to order fresh eggs dishes.

Two things weren’t perfect: 1. A bit cold water in the pools (especially the outside one), not warm enough to relax. The saunas, all except for one, were also cooler than we would expect. 2. Excessive waiting time for dinner. We had to wait almost 2 hours to get our dishes

Very nice hotel, very good location. The staff is excellent, everybody was so welcoming and helpful. Best experience in Hungary so far. Breakfast is also amazing with lots of Hungarian specialities.

The staff were amazing. The facilities are really incredible, right on the lake and lots of spa facilities inside as well. Front of house staff were wonderful and so helpful, as were the restaurant staff. Our room was gorgeous, exactly as pictured.

My mother forgot her bathing suit at the wellness area and we drove home. She called the next day and it was gone. There are no umbrellas at the beach. An hotel of that standard should have umbrellas with the sun beds. There’s very little shade at the beach and the sun beds that have shade are quickly taken. The air condition is ok but it doesn’t get super cool in the room when it’s very hot. It gets pleasant but I had better ones. The way you go into the lake, the stairs hurt. Other people complained about that too. The first day the coffee took 20 min to arrive at breakfast, for other people too. Next days it was better. There’s 15% tip automatically included when you eat/ drink . Everybody was very friendly but I think 15% is a lot to add automatically.

Very nice location directly at the lake, very nice big garden at the lake with sun beds, everything very new, nice clean rooms, nice view from balcony (we booked side lake view), staff was friendly, drinks are being served at the beach, very nice wellness area. Food at the beach bar was very good but I would have preferred some lighter options like different salads.

The billing system. First of all, staffs are putting a service fee of 15% for every single item on the bill and still asking for tip when you are satisfied. The final bill can only be paid in Euro when you pay it in cash, no foreign cards accepted, which is very strange.

The restaurant serves high quality food. The Spa and Wellness services were great. The staff was friendly and most of the staff are students and speaking English.

There appeared to be a lack of experienced staff, leading to an array of small issues such as running out of towels in the middle of the afternoon, coffee taking over 15 minutes at breakfast, or not arriving at all, towels or a robe being cleaned out of our room without being replaced, being asked every two minutes if you wanted a drink/food or not being approached for hours etc. Charging an automated service fee for these services, which we also weren't informed about almost felt a little cheeky. Probably the most frustrating issue was that I am Vegetarian (we booked half board) and whilst I was ensured before our arrival that even though there was only one starter, one soup and one main that was Vegetarian on the menu, I wouldn't have to eat the same thing and that the kitchen was informed about it, clearly no such arrangements have been made. Had I been Vegan or had other food restrictions, which they claim they can attend to, I don't know how it would have worked at all. Fortunately, the main menu changed on day 3 which made things a little easier. Another issue we had is that you have to wear swim wear in the spa area and saunas, which I consider to be unhygienic as swim wear isn't made for such high temperatures and that there is no plunge pool or other way to cool down other than waterfall showers, which make it really hard to target cold water. Also there isn't a dressing room in the spa area either, which is a problem if you require people to wear swim wear. Both of these things make it seem poorly planned, even if the spa area itself is beautifully done.

The location is fantastic and the hotel and its facilities are new and clean. The food and wine selection is of great quality, even if it's not incredibly accommodating to dietary restrictions and the selection is rather small (half board is just choosing from the a la cart menu, rather than a daily changing selection). The staff is generally lovely even though there were some problems with the service as it seemed there wasn't enough experienced staff on site. We did however very much appreciate that we were offered a free late check-out after raising our concerns when we paid up. Everything was very clean. The room was spacious, had all necessary amenities and a really comfortable bed.

Leaving such a lovely place

This hotel is set in the most lovely location... it was so tanquil and relaxing The room was clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. The hotel itself was clean and very well run by the staff. The staff themselves were friendly, polite and accommodating. The spa was stunning with lots of places to sit and relax. The breakfast was great with lots of choices. The grounds of the hotel were beautifully maintained by the ground staff with lots of places to sit and admire Lake balaton.

Already at the entrance to the loft, we were enveloped in a relaxing fragrance specially concocted for the hotel, the staff is very smiling and helpful. A spa with pampering indoor and outdoor pools, a beach with a descent to the lake. Spacious rooms and a shower with Morton Brown soaps. In short, a vacation dream, we didn't want to leave.

The location is a bit out of town, so if you're intending to travel regularly to and from Balatonfüred bear that in mind. We never quite figured out the best transport option, and tended to walk (20+ mins). The bar/restaurant was expensive, but that may be obvious for a 5* hotel.

The staff were amazing, and really made the experience for us. Great bed, room, fantastic breakfast. We didn't visit the spa too much, but it was spectacular. I saw it as a bonus for the trip, but in retrospect we should have planned to spend much more time there.
