Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

The breakfast is good! I like the room style, view and the staff there. It's very quiet and close to the center.

United KingdomNothing, it was the perfect hotel for our stay in Ubud!
Great boutique hotel, location central just at the end of the market street, easy walk to restaurants, temple, ridge walk & monkey forest, but quiet and tranquil once inside their garden area. We had a private pool room which was bliss, beautiful decor, great choice of breakfast in room every morning. Booked in-room massage and a bespoke day trip through the hotel which were great. Staff were very friendly and helpful, hotel was modern and very clean, can’t fault it at all.

United StatesThe pool water was a little too cold to swim in at night, and the toilet continued to make noise so I was concerned it was running water mistakenly.
Everything - the room comfort and privacy made me feel right at home after a long journey. The property overall is absolutely stunning, I couldn’t stop taking pictures and exploring it! The lovely touches like water, a pool towel, robe, and morning breakfast made this such a special experience. Plus, the team members were so kind.

Beautiful, intimate setting. So peaceful and quiet, yet so close to the centre of town. The staff were amazing, so friendly and helpful. Having breakfast by the pool every morning was wonderful and the food was great. Our room was beautiful, spacious and comfortable. Would definitely stay here again when in Ubud.

United KingdomThis place is just amazing, the staff are super friendly and welcoming the rooms and setting is just gorgeous, you really do feel like you're in the middle of nowhere when you're in fact right in the centre of Ubud. Breakfast didn't disappoint either. It's also worth paying the extra for the floating breakfast - really enjoyed that experience, although I would pick things that don't require you to use a knife and fork to eat as your breakfast tray is floating in the pool. Location is brilliant too, you're right by Ubud market and about 1/2 mile away from the palace and lots of eateries, so you really don't have to wander too far to get to places.

AustraliaBreakfast could be a bit more generous for the price (i.e., you choose one item - smoothie bowl, eggs, or avo toast, etc. It would be good to include a small fruit plate alongside this or for the gues to be able to choose to add either some fruit or bread or similar alongside their primary choice.
We stayed in the premier sunset villa. A beautiful garden setting, a very inviting private pool, spacious room/villa inside and out. Comfy beds and pillows. Fabulous location - a short walk to the market and main centre of town, to the rice fields, to the ridge walk, etc. - but just far enough out to be peaceful and truly relaxing. The other 3 villas around the main pool area also looked lovely. Also, a couple of other reviews suggested that you can't drive to the property - you can in a normal car or taxi - they just need to drive carefully through the market but it is no drama

United KingdomGreat and super friendly service, delicious breakfast, comfortable bed, clean rooms, good AC and super quiet. You wouldn't even notice you're such a close walk to central Ubud. They clean your room regularly and make sure you have everything you need. You can either go to reception or just WhatsApp them and they reply right away. They also helped arrange tours for us as well as airport transfer which was ideal. There's also access to Netflix which is great! We stayed in the Premier Sunset Villa and it was so spacious - private pool and separate lounge area too (not just the patio by the pool, but a place with sunbeds). And the "outside" shower is so nice (it's still under cover, but outside)! Overall, highly recommend staying here!! We loved our stay <3

I stayed in the other villa for this property as well (split booking) and rate both villas highly. Quiet private location with superb, friendly and attentive staff. Breakfast was also amazing everyday. The staff are always there to help with booking activities for you and with any issues with the property. I intend to stay again.

United KingdomThere are a lot of steps up to the rooms! The road the hotel is located on is also very busy and narrow which was difficult for our driver.
Really beautiful property. We had a pool villa and it was gorgeous. A little pocket of heaven away from the hustle and bustle of the Ubud streets. The hotel is very well located for the centre of Ubud which is great for exploring. The staff were very helpful and organised laundry and massages for us.

United KingdomEverything. The hotel is in an amazing location, around 10 minutes from the hustle and bustle of Ubud but you really do feel a world away and can access rice fields in minutes. Rooms immaculate, as were the grounds of the hotel. Staff were brilliant - always on hand to help and delivered their service in such an efficient and understated away. Definitely stay here

AustraliaThat my stay was only 2 nights
This is an absolute sanctuary, a peaceful little retreat located in the hustle and bustle of Ubud, perfectly placed so you can literally walk down the stairs and choose left to be amongst the markets and buzz or walk right and walk along the meandering pathways through the rice fields, say hello to locals and visit the sweet little Warungs scattered along the way to stop and enjoy a cool drink or delicious local authentic Balinese food. I absolutely loved my stay it was the perfect space to retreat back to after a day of exploring, relax by the pool in the beautiful gardens and listen to the birds and take in the scent of Bali. The staff were so kind and helpful they truly made me feel so looked after, it was relaxed and divine, I can't recommend it enough.

We stayed in the premier sunset suite which was a lovely villa with our own pool and breakfast was served on our terrace each day. Our shower was located outdoors, still part of the property but outside under cover, it was lovely. The hotel is hidden away in Ubud whilst a 10 min (max) walk into Ubud centre. The team were a joy to meet and were always available to answer any questions in person or on WhatsApp. As soon as we checked in we knew we would want to spend more time here to enjoy the surroundings so extended our stay by one more night. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Ubud. It’s quiet and idyllic whilst still being close to the hustle and bustle of Ubud. Thank you for a great stay.

We loved the seclusion of the place and its close location to the centre. The privacy and the rustic aspect of the villa. Very comfortable and super clean. Breakfast was pretty good and divers. All in all a great place to spend a few days away (but close) from the hustle and bustle of UBUD.
