Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

ArgentinaReally nice place, in the middle of nature, outside of the main area which makes it great for relaxing. Massages were really good and easy to book. Room is clean and the outside shower is great! Staff was super nice and helpful. Thank you Ogi and the other guy for helping me with my backpack!

SloveniaThe pool was a little bit dirty when we arrived. The shower only has enough hot water for a minute, afterwards it's only lukewarm. The access road is mainly for motorcycles. It's not really a big problem for a car, but one out of three drivers that we had refused to go down the road so we had to walk a few minutes to the main road.
Beautiful authentic cottages and garden, very tasty dinner for a normal price, friendly staff. You can arrange anything with the reception, transfer, scooter rental,... all for a very reasonable price. The whole resort is well maintained.

Staying at Abian Villa in Ubud was a magical experience. Surrounded by lush rice fields, the villa blended modern comfort with Balinese charm, featuring a pool and open-air spaces. The staff were incredibly attentive, helping us with the transportation. Though close to Ubud’s attractions, the villa felt peaceful and secluded, making it the perfect spot for relaxation and exploration. It was truly a rejuvenating escape, and I can’t wait to return!

Indonesia- Even though the it's private bungalow, but the distance from one another is too close so it's less privacy cause you can always overhear people's next door. - Outdoor shower has no roof, so when it's raining, you will get wet from both rain and shower. I guess the concept is blend with nature. - Location is somehow a bit hidden and challenging to reach by car especially during the rain, but it wasn't really a big issue for us.
- Staff are hardworking and very helpful. - Good simple breakfast. - Very nice ambience, next to paddy field and the bungalow is very clean and well organized. - Pretty garden and restaurant for relaxing.

AustraliaMaybe just that the doors don’t close fully so bugs and gekkos can get inside, some villas now have power points that allow usb and Australian plugs for the wall which I think could be a good feature here, I will definitely visit again though. Address s little hard for gojek but they found us most times
Amazing room, great design , great location with a nearby pool place you can walk to and lounge in , amazing prices for massages ordered to the location and amazing prices for food that can be brought to your room. They added a birthday message for my arrival which was super cute

New ZealandOutdoor kitchen seems an afterthought. Not well maintained or particularly clean. The road is a shocker.
The bedroom and bathroom were great, well designed and comfortable. Very spacious. Pool was a lifesaver after a hot dusty day walking around Ubud. Location is close to rice fields with a gorgeous ool restaunt just a few minutes away.

ItalyThis villa had a good potential, but: The construction, which we weren’t warned about, was everywhere—right next to the villa, in front of it, and along the road leading to it. The noise started at 8 a.m. every morning. The promised view of the rice fields was only visible from the bathroom in one of the bedrooms. In all the other rooms, the view was just of the construction site. Although cleaning was done daily, it wasn’t thorough. Ant corpses were left by the sink from the day we arrived until the day we left. There’s no shower partition, so the bathroom floor stays wet for a long time, making it difficult to use after a shower. The villa wasn’t properly prepared when we checked in. The sofa was stained with bird droppings, one of the bathroom sinks had dried toothpaste spots, and in another bathroom, there was an entire ant graveyard in the drawer under the sink. The microwave was dirty when we arrived and remained that way until the day we left. The road to the villa was bad, and some drivers even refused to take it.
The price was reasonable, and the bed was comfortable. The staff did their best to help within their capabilities. There’s also a bar with a pool overlooking the rice fields walking distance from the villa (though there is a minimum spend).

United KingdomNothing everything was amazing.
The property is in the heart of an Ubud very close to most tourist attractions and walking distance to Ubud centre, as we were able to walk to the markets & restaurants. The staff are amazing they were all so lovely and wanted to help in any way, they have a restaurant and the food is great. They also offer massage services and myself and my friend had the Balinese one it is very recommended left feeling very relaxed. If you have a room without a pool there is one located a five minute walk down the road at kelappa which is also lovely.

United KingdomThe rooms were not exactly as they looked in the pictures and the biggest downside was the hot water in the shower only lasted for about 1 minute max. The room also describes having some kitchen facilities, however all you get is a kettle, a sink and some crockery. The property is also down a very bad road off the main road that gets extremely dark at night and very muddy after rain. Also completely our fault as we didn’t read the small print but there is no shared pool as the pictures insinuate - this is for a private villa.
The little bungalows are very sweet and located in a nice tropical garden. The staff were friendly and welcoming despite a little mix up with our booking. We had an amazing massage there and also got our laundry done for a good price.

BelgiumIn this hotel you arrive in a green exotic oasis. After a day in crowded Ubud this is a welcoming green spot between the ricefield, after only a 5 min. Drive. Staff is very welcoming and helpfull, with a lot of humour! The villa is fully equipped, beautifully decorated with s semi open brandnew bathroom, with a rainshower and a bath tub in front of banana trees. On top of this all a beautiful, refreshing private swimming pool.

AustraliaNothing we didn’t like about property, Abian View is lovely. Road in needs a little work, there are new villas being built & road will be upgraded, but short walk to main road and shops.
Nice 9 night stay in traditional bungalows set in beautiful gardens & surrounded by rice fields and nature. Quiet setting away from busy traffic. Staff are great 👍 extremely friendly and accommodating, and flexible. Nice breakfast & dinners in the inhouse restaurant. Abian can arrange pick up & drop off to airport and other destinations. So will definitely be back again. 😀

MalaysiaThe tiny road entering into the stay is a little bumpy and dark. The shower heater was not really functioning in our bathroom, had to shower cold water at night 🥶
Their bed is super comfy and we had good sleeps for two nights! A very peaceful and tranquil environment away from the bustling streets.
