Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

MalaysiaThe sheets were a little dirty when we arrived, but Beni helped us ti change it within 10 minutes!
Location was the best, just located right in front of the rice terraces, we were treated to the best views in the area every morning. It is a very quiet village along the main road, so you'll see some day trip tourists only in the morning and afternoon. But in the evening it will become a very cozy and quiet little town, as if you personally own the entire gem of Bali. Beni the receptionist was very kind and friendly. We didn't expect our room to be cleaned in the morning especially for the price we paid, but they did! Shower was clean and there was also soap, shampoo, and towels provided. Their hospitality and wonderful location made us extend our stay without hesitation. The hotel is also close to places of interest such as Angseri hot spring, and makes a great middle stopover on the way to the Twin Lakes area. There are a few restaurants serving international and local food, as well as a convenience store on the same row.

This hotel was located right across the street from the rice terraces. I had a room on the 2nd floor and the view was amazing! The room was spacious and clean. The staff were very nice.

NetherlandsYou'll be rewarded with the best views of Jatiluwih when staying here. There are not many luxury accommodations around here, so it's hard to find something decent. This guesthouse is a great choice and offers a good price/quality. TIP: Book a room on the first floor.

United StatesEverything was wonderful 👍
What a great spot! It's centrally located right across the street from the famous rice fields. You can enter the rice field tracking just a few feet away from the hotel. The rooms are clean and the views (from the 2nd floor are incredible). When we arrived I asked about going to see some of the local attractions like the waterfalls and the hot springs. The friendly hotel staff recommend Wayan and WOW hiring him was the best decision. Wayan took us to amazing hot springs, waterfalls, the palace on the lake, botanical gardens and an amazing local fresh market. He took such great care of us, we were simply blown away by his kindness, knowledge of the local area, plants and history. If you're looking to have an amazing experience while visiting the area, call Wayan. With his permission I'm sharing his WhatsApp number: +62 857-3878-8527 ✨ Thank you to the staff at the hotel and to Wayan

AustraliaI wasn’t aware that the Jatiluwih entrance free would have to be paid before accessing the hotel. You will drive through a payment gate for the UNESCO area. This wasn’t an issue for us on a scooter, we only paid it once. But I guess it could be an issue if you wanted to leave the area and return, or had a driver coming in and out to collect you?! Our only complaint (which is not the hotels fault, so I didn’t mark the review down), was the noisy people in the room next to us. They sat outside on the balcony and played pumping music until 2am! There are no staff onsite overnight (like a few places we have stayed) to tell them to be quiet!
The view from the balcony is amazing (we were on the second floor). If your looking to explore the Jatiluwih rice terraces this is the perfect place. It is close to the starting point for the hikes. The room was large and very clean. There was no damp smell (as older reviews suggested), towels and linen were clean and fresh. The bed was huge and very comfortable. The shower was hot and we had no issues with the hot water running out. I loved the addition of a kettle and tea/coffee; most of the places we stayed didn’t provide this. There was also a huge TV, we didn’t use it so can’t comment on available channels. Parking was easy, right in front of the hotel, and the construction work other reviews mentioned is not longer happening. Staff were kind and helpful, they brought us 2 umbrellas to use to go to dinner (we didn’t have to ask). There is no restaurant on site (which we knew). Just so you are aware most of the food places don’t open for dinner. There are two options open past 6pm (literally next door to the hotel on either side). We ate at The Gafel Okokan and the food was delicious. Breakfast is not included so we tried the red rice congee from Warung Bubur Betutu which was tasty too! We only stayed for 1 night and wish we had stayed for another.

AustraliaNo entrance...you need to walk over grass patch from main road, which when rains is a bog. Fairly new construction so they are probably still building. Disco singalong by locals in building next door till midnight with loud music blasting into the tranquil rice fields and the hotel rooms!
Fab view from large very well maintained rooms.

SwedenNo hairdryer, no fridge, air conditioner not cold at all although it was set 16°C, the staff didn't wear any face mask, the staff also kept the change from the payment without my approval even right after I gave them some gratuities (so make sure to prepare small amounts of the Indonesian currency to pay for the stay; they didn't accept card), there was a huge & noisy house lizard in the bedroom, there was a curfew for the WiFi (always was turned off since early morning, then finally was on again from around 9 AM), no room services, very bad location with a mossy staircase (only suitable for backpackers with light items), extremely impolite attitude from the owner because they locked me out from the back entrance although there was no sign of “no entry”, and I also had to pay Jatiluwih entrance fee 2x for my driver who just dropped/picked me off/up.
Helpful staff, clean room, beautiful view, warm shower, quiet area, comfy bed, & hypoallergenic sheets.
