Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

ItalyThe rooms are a little too dark - it was quite difficult to even put contact lenses in the evenings. Also, we had an a/c problem. It did not work and the smell from the shower pipes did not help.
Super central - you can easily walk to Monkey Forest, the Yoga Barn, and the Ubud Palace. The infinity pool has a magical view.

SwitzerlandThis is a personal preference, but I did not like the set menu breakfast. I have a lot of food restrictions due to intolerances and with the limited choice I could not really find anything suitable.
Staff was extremely helpful and nice. They were going above and beyond to accommodate us. The room was comfortable and we enjoyed complementary fruit basket and mini bar. Dinner options on Pistachio menu were delicious. Great signature cocktails.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful hotel for our honeymoon, and it was an absolutely unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality of the staff exceeded our expectations. Every member of the team went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was perfect. A special shoutout to our housekeeper, Wayan, whose attention to detail and dedication ensured that our room was always immaculate and welcoming. And a huge thanks to Laura for her patience and assistance throughout our stay; her friendly demeanor and willingness to help with any request made our time here even more enjoyable. One of the highlights of our stay was undoubtedly the hotel's magnificent pool. Set against a backdrop of lush jungle, it offered a serene and breathtaking setting to unwind and soak up the beauty of nature. Whether we were lounging by the water, enjoying a refreshing swim, or simply admiring the panoramic views, the pool provided the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. It truly was the cherry on top of an already perfect honeymoon experience.

PortugalBy far the best hotel where we stayed in a long while. An experience I will never forget. We arrived by night and were happily greeted by Luna and Laura, who were very patient and fully available for all our queries. Furthermore, we were surprised with a room upgrade and were able to stay in a very large room with an extremely comfortable bed. During our stay everyone was always so thoughtful and kind, and made us feel welcome and at home. Also, we tried the spa and had a lovely and relaxing time. With the staff being the first, the pool is the hotel’s second best feature: it’s an infinity pool with a breathtaking view where you can watch the sunset. The breakfast is something to highlight as well. Table service, delicious food and fresh fruit juices. Lastly, our final day was also my birthday and we were surprised with a birthday cake and the staff singing ‘happy birthday’, with them also presenting me with a birthday card signed by all. An experience I will certainly never forget. Special thanks to: Laura and Luna for the warm welcome; Arya for helping us plan our trip to mount Batur; Mila for the pleasant check-out experience and for helping us with storing our bags for a few hours after we checked-out.

SwitzerlandNothing. Just a detail with the windows. They are not well sealed and mosquitoes can get in, or the air conditioning can get out if you don't close the blinds properly.
This place is incredible. We felt very well looked after by the staff. The facilities were beautiful, the infinity pool had a spectacular view of the jungle, and there was also a bar and a restaurant available next to the pool. The breakfast is so good. There was no buffet, but a menu with several options to choose from, and the presentation was amazing. Great service, the people were always attentive. In general, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The rate includes an afternoon tea with dessert, which I think is very good. They also arrange the food in case of any allergies. The room was spectacular, clean, and modern but keeping the Balinese essence. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was very big and nice. There was always bottled water to drink since you cannot drink tap water. The room was cleaned twice a day. Our room had a cozy terrace with a view toward the rice fields. Peaceful location, very quiet. It is a 10-minute walk from the main street of Ubud, which can be noisy. Close by there are many cafes, restaurants, stores, a grocery store, and an ATM. We had a cold before our stay here, and the service we got from the hotel staff was fantastic. They were very attentive to us and offered us complimentary tea. Highly recommended and we could definitely come back to this place! Thank you so much for your hospitality, especially to Mila, Laura, Kadek, and August.

AustraliaI didn’t realise that the road is parallel to the monkey forest road and no bridge along the route so it means a long walk to get anywhere in the Ubud cbd - it’s not as the crow flies on the map. You can get a scooter taxi if you like because cars can only enter the hotel from one end of the road , too narrow and cobbled at the other . So it’s a beautiful hotel but if you like walking then the location awkward because of the poor access
Staff, facilities , rice fields view , great breakfast
