Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaThe rooms are aged and need a facelift. I got a great price - I would not have been happy to pay more (the full price) but for what I did pay it was great value for money. I can see it would have been amazing when restaurant and spa were operational but honestly it is in the best part of Ubud so everything you need is right there
The pools were awesome! I had a big, spacious room with good facilities and furnishings. Good shower and hot water. Nice staff Excellent part of Ubud, location is amazing Quiet at night time I got a bargain price, food value for money but I would not have wanted to pay full price for it.

PakistanThe property doesn’t have enough facilities for travellers like a kitchen. Also the spa is closed permanently.
Great pools, great staff. Really nice location with everything being a short walk away.

New ZealandAfter the first night I upgraded to a better room standard, because the "Superior" room of the original booking made me wonder what it was superior to. It was quite tired looking, with the bathroom really run down, a broken and unsightly toilet seat, a disabled electronic lock on the safe with a wobbly override key instead. On the positive the staff offered a fair upgrade rate below the stated price. I found the location a bit far from the town center. I like to walk and explore, but it was an additional effort.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. I liked the pools and the access to a nice path through the rice paddies. The staff were very fair with my upgrade request.

PeruThe room’s lights stopped working for some reason.
Beds are very comfortable and the room has a nice view to it’s garden. The hotel is in a good location and it’s easy to book transport from there to the rest of Ubud. There is a money exchange nearby and you find some stores in front of the hotel. Bathroom is in good conditions and they make a good job with the cleaning.

AustraliaThe pool outside our door was great but at my age I could not get into or out of it. The Pool down the back had no comfortable lounging chairs plus there needs to be a handrail for older guests to enjoy these pools. I felt that some of the areas needed to be renovated. I also understand that covid has had a big impact on the area.
The staff were welcoming and so helpful. Wayan was so helpful, so informative of the attractions and showing us around. Nothing was a problem. Thank you Wayan, you are now a great friend. The rooms were always clean and tidy. I would recommend staying there as the price was right.

AustraliaFacilities are getting a little bit dated and some maintenance might need to be done such as drains slow or not draining, damp damage to walls, hinges very squeaky.
The rice fields next door make for an excellent view any time of the day. Room cleaning service was excellent and nice that they are trying to encourage sustainability with guests by hanging towels and conscience with water usage.

AustraliaUnfortunately this property is in a very dirty and neglected state. There is no dining room, no spa and no shuttle. These pictures should be taken off booking.com there was a great deal of mould and soap scum in the bathroom. Sheets and towels were old and ripped. The pools were dirty and there was a broken pool light floating around. There was thick mould on the pool chair. The whole place needs a really good scrub. I bought bathroom cleaner to try to clean my dirty room.
Location is good. Staff were nice and tried hard to be helpful.

AustraliaI am very sensitive to traffic and business so the fact that you step out into one of the most busiest, loudest main roads in Bali made it very hard for me to enjoy my stay.
Even though the villa is on the main road, it sits on a patch of rice fields so within the villa you don’t hear the e busy traffic. Swimming pool available and all the basic needs to make it comfortable.

AustraliaHotel is very basic (not much privacy in rooms), on facilities very limited (no restaurant and many common areas have fallen into disrepair), the front desk is not staffed at night (felt a bit unsafe as a lone traveller) and the rooms are quite old without historic charm (ripped towels, mouldy sinks, hole in ceiling). 20-30 minute walk into town.
Very close to Bintang supermarket.

United StatesThe room was very rough. The bathroom sink was broken off the wall, and dripping onto the floor, where black mold surrounded the puddle. The room was infested by black carpenter ants which were EVERYWHERE. I stayed here 3 years ago and it was a simple, very nice hotel. It is now in very great need of repairs.
Staff was very friendly, location and surroundings were very nice.
