Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomSome noise from adjoining room but not a big deal still got good night sleep.
The room was big and spacious and a big comfortable bed. Complementary snacks and drinks were an added bonus and the staff were super friendly and helpful. It’s also in a great location which gets busy at night with a great atmosphere. Breakfast was very varied and good quality as well as the restaurant below was nice also.

United KingdomNothing. It's a good hotel and value for money.
Staff happily moved us, as there was a connecting door to the next room and they were noisy. Large bedrooms with comfy bed.very clean. Liked the water dispenser on all floors. Saved buying bottled, and cut down on plastic bottles. Pool was nice on top floor. Food in restaurant was really good, and nice to have a beer with it. Situated in a busy location, plenty of shops, and taxis

IndonesiaNO WINDOWS in the room!! There is a door thru the balcony but the reception person said if i booked 2 rooms it will be connected to the room next door then they will be able to open the balcony door. Didnt make sense since i know they renovating the room next door so its empty. The door has frosted glass so we had 0 view and no sunshine. Parking is a bit tricky, you have no choice other than vallet. The hotel is located in the middle of the malioboro st, and they closed the street from 6pm to 9pm for pedestrians. Not very convinient. Bathroom could be cleaner.
The only hotel that provide 3 single bed in 1 room 😁 so its perfect for our family. Location is perfect right in the middle of the busy street so you can park the car and take a walk. Many becak too Breakfast is ok, not the best.

SingaporeDue to peak season, I didn't get a proper ironing board (but I got an iron).
Aveta is totally underrated for a 3 star hotel. It's interior is exceptionally clean & classy (do not get fooled by how it looks from the outside) Staffs were helpful & friendly to guests & prompt to assist. Was very impressed Kudos! Rooms were spacious. Beds were extremely comfy and pillows came with two choices of comfortness (soft & slight more support). Had a water dispenser in our rooms (hot, room temp. cold) & one of our rooms even have a Nescafe Expresso machine! Being just along the famous Malioboro street means you are just steps away from Malioboro Mall and other amenities e.g pharmacy, convenience store. Didn't have much of a view from the rooms but doesn't really bother us much since our mornings & afternoons are packed with activities around Yogyakarta.

SingaporeThe shampoo and bath gel had a weird chemical smell. WiFi was also sporadic.
Location was right smack in the middle of Malioboro street action. It can be noisy but our request for a higher floor was fulfilled. Very friendly staff, and breakfast was delicious and sufficient. Food ordered for room service came hot and quite fast. The family quadruple room had access to Netflix and YouTube. Last time when we stayed at Triple room, had no window and no such access, but it was ok as we were out sight-seeing most of the time.

NetherlandsAccording to the info provided in the room, one can check out later till 5pm if you pay 25% of the nightly hotel rate. This turned out to be 25% of an imaginary official much higher hotel rate rather than what you actually paid. No value for money in that case.
Nice but not necessarily special hotel, catering mainly to Asian guests. Despite that, there is also a ‘Western corner’ in the breakfast room. Unfortunately, they confuse ‘Western’ with 🤢‘English breakfast’ 🤢. Hope they add more continental Europe style breakfast options. Good location, not too far from the station and the main tourist places.

Singaporehousekeeping. Day 2 wasn't given any towels - when I called reception again after 1 hour waiting - they debated they had someone delivered the towels and claimed it was received by my boy. I asked them to check the CCTV before I received the towels finally. Day 3 the beds weren't tidy up at all (towels were replaced though).
the location is right on the road of Malioboro - near to main train station (Tugu)

SingaporeThe family room did not have a window at all, not to mention a view. Wifi can be sporadic, inconvenient for a zoom meeting.
It was centrally located, next to Plaza Malioboro. The family room was big and the toilet was spacious and clean. Room service was fast and the food was delicious. Breakfast was delightful with an array of Indonesian and western cuisine. The jamu served was an added bonus :) Service staff was attentive and friendly.

United KingdomBe aware of a nearby art exhibition SCAM where you may be offered a spiked drink. The girls fell for this but I did not so we got away. Also, Malioboro street is closed in the evening to traffic including taxi’s so if you go out at night you may have a short walk to get back to the hotel.
I stayed in the Premier Malioboro with View and other members of my party stayed in the family triple room. The room with a view was superb the balcony looked out onto a side street and there was a small tourism police station manned by an officer during the day. Although the hotel is in the centre of the city, I did not experience any problems with noise during the night – I did not retire to bed until just after midnight. The air conditioning was very good. The girls enjoyed the swimming pool on the roof top and we made friends with a couple from the Netherlands there.
