Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaBreakfast was very poor. Taxis to other locations are a fixed price at 150,000K so it’s hard to go exploring and you end up walking the same two streets the entire time to get from the property to Mushroom Bay Beach shops and restaurants. Access road was quite flooded at times.
Ocean view hut was great. Included breakfast was very poor - we skipped it several times and ate elsewhere. Property is on the waterfront but not the beach. Outdoor shower was nice and housekeeping was good.

AustraliaBay Shore Huts was very clean and comfortable. If you are expecting 4 or 5 star then this isnt for you. You dont get the luxuries of a 5 star thats for sure, but you get a good clean basic hut and in a great position far enough away from the hustle of Mushroom Bay but close enough to walk. If you are one of those who needs the loo several times theough the night you will have to encounter a couple of big steps to get to your toilet and if its raining it can be very slippery and toy will get wet getting to your loo. Dont expect to find hair dryers, conditioner, tv etc. Staff were great and I have to say the room was cleaned better than the 5 star Maya resort in Sanur.

CanadaThe AC can’t keep up in the rooms so it’s warm. Ocean view huts are smaller than the others and the second row of huts is only partial view. Not worth the extra money.

BrazilFacilities were a bit old and room not as tidy as we hoped for. Also room was not “sealed” from the outside, which allowed animals to enter our room (we had a visit of a reasonable sized spider), which may jot be a problem for everyone.
Great location and staff was very helpful. The tours they provided were amazing and at a good price. They also provided bike rental on spot.

SpainAn absolute disaster, the place is nice but a bit neglected. The service is one of the worst I have found in Bali, they did not help us with the transfer to the port, one of the workers tried to scam us to take us to the time he wanted justifying that there was traffic and pretending that we did not have breakfast just because he wanted to go to a ceremony at 8:00h, he tried to negotiate that we did not give them a bad review, they brought us the dirty used cups to the room twice saying that it was their policy not to put clean and new ones, etc. The breakfast was mediocre, despite having fresh fruit they only served fresh watermelon juice (due to hotel policy, or rather not to waste money), they don't have any vegetable milk, etc. In addition, many hotels on the island offer free pick-up services, here nothing. Horrible experience in general, not recommended.
The space was nice.

AustraliaLocation to main area meant that it was a $15 taxi ride one way if you couldn’t hire a scooter which was highly over priced. Breakfast is really bad, very stingy and just low quality considering it’s $110 a night. Have paid less and definitely had better.
Rooms were fairly ok, pretty reasonable for price.

United KingdomSome staff not quite as friendly as other places but most were absolutely lovely. We paid for an ocean view (hut 4) but it was more like a restaurant view
2 lovely pools, good location with some nice restaurants nearby. Great snorkelling organised right from the hotel. We were picked up at the restaurant and were the only two on the trip, taken to see rays, and 2 other stops. Wonderful

AustraliaWe booked for 5 nights but we left after 2 nights. We left because despite having written assurance that we would be provided with an extra bed in one of the rooms for our 16yo and 14yo sons and agreeing to pay for that option, there was only one bed in the room and our sons were forced to share a bed for 2 nights. We were told that this could be fixed for the 3rd night onwards but by then, for reasons below, we had already decided to leave 3 nights early. When we arrived at Huts, the wifi was down. Kids outside a nearby room confirmed that it had been down for some time. It was fixed late that night. To get to anywhere from the Huts, you need to walk on narrow dirt roads without footpaths, which would normally be fine, but not fun in the dark after 24+ hours of rain (in the dry season) with large puddles and competing with motorbikes and small trucks on the road. It is quite a walk to eating options but we chose to walk because our lunch on day one at the Huts was appalling (pork ribs, too small, dry, nachos similar). The first night we ate at L Good which had many customers but was over-priced and poor food. The 2nd night was Papa Tarros which had great Vietnamese and Thai food, but quite a walk in the dark and rain from the Huts. We asked at reception for a taxi to the main part of the island, Jungutbatu Beach, hoping to find better food options. For the 4.1km taxi ride each way (8.2km return, negligible traffic) we were quoted 300,000IDR. That is more than we paid for large, air-conditioned vehicle transport from the airport to Canggu (21km) and from Sanur to the airport (15km) with heavy traffic. I questioned the rate, was told that was just what it costs on Lembongan. We only went to Jungutbatu Beach once - it was ok, but not worth the trip. When we told reception that we were leaving early because of the bed, wifi and lack of options around the accomodation issues, we were offered nothing. No refund, no meal, not even a drink. We won't be back.
The pool is nice. The view over the sea is nice. The rooms are ok. Breakfast was ok.
