How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Amazing social hostel. Perfect for solo traveler. Chill pool and nature around. Perfect location in the center of kuta. Scooterrental possible and not expensive. Amazing included breakfast… it’s just bananapancakes, but they are freshly made and you can get as many as you want. Great place to chill and connect.

The bathroom is huge but only one per room and shower and toilet are together si if one us being used you have to wait. Sometimes you get the single bed next to the door and there’s no curtain and it’s right next to the entrance
Nice pool and common areas, but some comfy sofas would be nice. Very good value for money

Wifi could be better in the room, but this wasn't a problem for me.
Loved staying here! Comfortable beds, big area to hang out and meet people, very social hostel, free breakfast, warm water in the shower, good location,.. They cleaned and made your bed every day, which was incredible for the price. The people working here are super nice as well. 10/10 would recommend.

Dorms are a funny layout so some bunks can feel exposed. AC not great but not a dealbreaker. Don’t stay upstairs in the 6-person dorm, far too hot with no fan.
Everything you could want for €7 a night; amazing pool, in the centre of town & cracking banana pancakes. There’s multiple dorms so 100+ people are staying but doesn’t feel over crowded. Super social to meet people but not party vibes. Everyone frothing to surf.

well located on kuta lombok ,the swimming pool was nice friendly staff and the breakfast, ith unlimited pancakes was delicious it was a faire price for the location. I recommend for a couple of nights or longer .

The bathroom is really big but there is only 1shower and 1 toilet for 8 people which is definitely not enough There is no privacy in the bedroom : only 2 beds have curtains
This hostel is absolutely friendly and travelers there are really kind! The breakfast is amazing and you can relax in the swimming pool after a morning of surfing.

Needs more comfortable seating
Loved how social this hostel is! Extended my stay multiple times. Nice big pool and yummy banana pancakes. Staff are super friendly. Going to miss my time here and the cats and kittens :(

Amazing social aspect, ended up staying for an extra week and a half because I loved this place so much. Every morning the maids would clean your bed which you don’t get often in hostels (if ever!). The staff were helpful and friendly and the facilities were really good. Definitely would recommend this hostel for solo travellers I’ve met some amazing friends for life here!

My dorm was quiet at night, aircon worked well and I slept really well during my whole stay. Hostel is social but not a party hostel. Big area with pool to hangout and chill. Very green. Big table to eat breakfast und socialise. Banana pancakes for breakfast and free coffee, tea and water to refill all day long. You can a rent scooter at the reception. Staff is lovely. I really enjoyed my stay and extended several times.

no hot water in the kitchen, so you can not make a coffee or tea. it was also very loud during the night (somerimes even at 2am).

Good vibe. Good location especially if you rent a bike. Extremely helpful staff. Good breakfast as long as you like banana pancakes. Great place to recover from Rinjani

Great location as it was in a quiet street outside of busy Bali. The staff were so friendly, they go out their way to make you feel welcomed. Ester would save me breakfast even after I was late back from surfing!
