Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyThe receptionist is not always there. I had barely interaction with the host altogether. At some point there was no water but 2 hours later it was back.
Location is nice. Room was comfortable.

GermanyPlease look at my photos which prove what I am writing here. There is a rundown reception area and a deserted common area which looks very poor. There is a water dispenser which is not in use and some furniture. The most important feature is the gun which the owner uses to shoot at monkeys who come by at times - because the surrounding area and especially the monkey forest is their habitat. Many people come especially for the monkeys. The owner should consider: No monkeys no tourists - no money for him. Let's talk about the room. It was renovated at some point of time but the humidity is back and there are stains and wet spots on the walls (see pictures) which means damp environment. In 2 of 4 nights I had ants in my bed - most probably due to the wooden headboard. Room is only cleaned on request which I placed after day 3. No towel change, no stocking up of water, tea, coffee. When I asked for it I was told this is only given on the very first day. (all other hotels and guesthouses all over Bali give you 2 water bottles, tea and coffee for free every day or they have a water refill station in the lobby) After I had asked I was handed a 300ml bottle of water, I also had to ask for toilet paper etc. - I was told that this is not policy but I will get some because I have not asked for room cleaning for 2 days. There are only black-out drapes on the windows which means: You are either on display to the very loud neigbours who are sitting on their balcony looking right into your window or you are sitting in the dark - make your choice. Of course you can turn the light on, but this is not exactly what one wants to do in your holidays. Neighbors were very loud, used speakerphone for calls, listened to music loudly. I mentioned it towards a staff member but nothing changed. The fridge had not been cleaned before I checked in. The rest of the room and the bathroom was clean. I am very sorry - but I cannot resommend this place. Too many things that I did not like.
1st-off - DESWA is not an Inn - it is 2 rooms within the Warsa Bungalows Development which has got really bad reviews here on booking.com. I only found out when I was checking in. The owner was as smart as to take 2 renovated rooms out of the equation and name them after his daughter . 2. I cannot understand the great reviews for I cannot find many positive features about the room. If you call your place an "Inn" it should somehow have something in common with an Inn. Staff was mostly grumpy, not visible or busy with watching videos. One positive thing is the pool. It is of decent size and the water is clean. Read the reviews of Warsa Garden Bungalows to get the right picture. I could write a lot more but I do not want to waste my time on this place.
