Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Great location, close to the main street but far enough that it's quiet. Staff were great, very helpful and gave us fresh fruit from the tree that grows by the front desk. Rooms were clean, nice view out the window, beds were comfortable. Laundry available for 20k/kg.

United KingdomNo directions to find the place or direct access with car. Empty reception when I arrived carrying my bags. And couldn't message them because the wifi password is not provided. Probably waited 25 mins at reception before someone appeared. Also room confusion, I was downgraded to a room on the bottom floor despite booking a deluxe room. When they upgraded me there was not much difference in the rooms so feels like I paid more for no reason. Plus, the standard room was bigger and had a better shower and more equipped kitchen. The only thing the deluxe had was a view.
Big comfortable bed, nice rooms with big balcony. Quiet most of the time although there is some construction work. But quiet enough for the centre of town. Hot powerful shower. Strong wifi, central location in the tourist hot-spot.

United KingdomThe staff were great, helping us with tours, Laudry and taxis. The room was really nice with a great balcony. It’s in a perfect location too as it’s in the main town but tucked away in a quiet side street which has a great restaurant too.

MalaysiaThe shower would clog and the shower & toilet area are not separated. Hot water would also run out so shower quickly! Overall still a great place to stay though.
Friendly staff and great location! It was easy to walk to places from here and the pool area is a great place to chill. I also liked that they provided hairdryer, a drying rack, tables & chairs for you to sit in front of your room etc.

United KingdomI had 2 bookings to stay here so on my second night had to move room. I had stayed the day before this booking in another room having gone to properly directly. This wasn’t an issue as I knew when I booked the first day I knew I would have to move for the second day on this booking. The staff cleaned the other room quickly and let me stay later in my first room so I could transfer over easily. I quickly dropped bags and went out for a bit but when I came back I realised the room smelt of damp, this room was closer to the pool. I’m asthmatic and had already ready relocated to this hotel after a bad nights sleep at a different hotel due to damp. It seems to be a common problem in Ubud that some property have a damp/mould. I have a good sense of smell so I think some people might not notice this but I‘ve had problems with damp in rentals at home and it made me very sick as I’m asthmatic so I am super cautious around damp. The room was clean and there was no obvious signs of mould but you could see where the walls had been painted again to cover previous flaking paint/likely mould which is probably caused by rising damp. I look for signs like this because of my asthmatic and I think most people wouldn’t have noticed this. The staff were so lovely and understanding. Sadly all other rooms in that property were booked otherwise I would have happily stayed as the night before I had such a great nights sleep and loved this hotel. The guy on reception was super helpful despite his limited English and called his boss they said I could move to another property they also owned ‘Ubud Dream’ which was a little further down the road they took me on a scooter to show me the room first so I could check it and then moved all my stuff over. This room was lovely, bigger than the previous room but down a street with some construction going on.
I stayed here for one night in a room on the ground floor away from pool. This was great, I liked the room and location. It was so quiet at night despite being super close to a very busy part of town. I loved the location. I loved the little backstreets leading to it and the general ambience. You pass some art stalls and a little schools to get to the hotel and I just loved wandering down the street away from the hustle. Nice small pool, I didn’t use it in the end as I was so busy and spent a lot of time away from the property but it would have been nice for a dip after a long day of sightseeing if you’ve got time. Nice little touches in the bathroom with toiletries. Air freshers and diffuser reeds which was a nice touch that the smaller hotels don’t always have.
