Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaThe Beach is beautiful but rough at times. Not enough beach chairs/lounges, public can pay to use pool, which is common, but limits chairs around pool for guests.
I loved the huts, basic and small but comfortable and clean. There are steps to the outdoor bathroom but it was private and clean. Beautiful view. Loved the spa being down near the beach. Breakfast was basic but good, fruit, toast, cereal, eggs. Enjoyed being walking distance of devils tear and watching sunset there.

New ZealandPeople who weren’t staying there were allowed to use the pool so sometimes getting a lounger was difficult. This was frustrating on some occasions and we couldn’t enjoy the pool as was too busy.
Dream Beach Huts was such a lovely location. The huts were so much fun to stay in and were equipped with all you needed even a great fridge and tea/coffee making facilities. The bed was comfortable and room was lovely and clean. It is very private and we enjoyed the facilities. Breakfast was good with options for everyone including freshly made omelettes and eggs how you like them. Staff were lovely.

AustraliaDream Beach Huts is a fantastic location for our family (age range 2-70) beach holiday. We loved being away from the 'centre' of things but still close enough by taxi transport. There were plenty of warungs, guesthouses, bars, spas, beach clubs and even a cooking class in walking distance. The pool is magnificent, a double infinity overlooking the beach. There are plenty of sun lounges, beach chairs, hammocks for everyone. Plus every beach hut has their own hammock. Also loved the outdoor bathroom.

South AfricaNothing that we didn't like.
We loved the location, which was a bit more quiet. The view from the restaurant & pool area is magical! We absolutely loved the pool area and the restaurant. Breakfast was great. Beds were very comfortable and we loved the outside shower. Dream Beach is beautiful, but this this is not a suitable beach for small children. The waves are quite high and strong tide. We didn't mind this at all. We also loved the little shop next to the restaurant. We went for a massage, which is right on the beach and you can hear the waves while relaxing. Awesome stay and highly recommend.

AustraliaThe onsite restaurant, quality of food wasn't very good, a bit hit and miss and not value for money. We ordered a pork ribs, chips and veggies and it came with a handful of crinkle cut style chips and 4 tiny ribs and no veggies and this was $20AUD. Unfortunately lunch was a disaster for my hubby as he had the Rendang and then ended up with food poisoning, I tasted and it was very sour, so more likely coconut milk was off, we ended up stuck in the huts all the next day/night 😞 staff didn't seem that concerned and no removing it from the bill.
The location was beautiful with the ocean views. The beach huts are sweet but a little small, I kept bumping onto the side wall getting out of bed. It's fine for a few night stay but I wouldn't have wanted to do any longer as too small. Overall I would stay there again but perhaps look for a bigger room type but it's a lovely experience if you like traditional old style huts. The infinity pool is lovely overlooking the ocean and plenty of day beds and pool lounges for all to enjoy.

AustraliaI didn’t like that day visitors to the beach were able to use the pool…it means that you often don’t get a sunbed around the pool or get stuck where the wind is blowing and people fight over beds. Also the bar/ restaurant staff don’t seem to be really interested in people staying there…they carry on a lot between themselves and can be quite loud. Also it was our honeymoon and I asked months in advance if they could put some flowers or or something in the room to celebrate it being our honeymoon and I’m happy to pay extra for it but they said they don’t offer that. Every other island and resort so far has done this for me and gone above and beyond. Also if you hire a scooter from them make sure your back tyre has tread, the scooters could really be upgraded.
The location was stunning and the huts were small but very cute

AustraliaThe outdoor shower design is very cute but it sprays water all over the bathroom area which is unfortunate as it would be good to be able to leave toiletries in the bathroom and not worry about them getting wet. This did not worry us, but some customers might find it inconvenient. On a busy day it is very hard to find a seat by the pool as the many “day visitors” have taken them all. Would be good if they were limited so paying guests could always find a space by the pool. There is another pool upstairs, but there didn’t appear to be any bar service or staff up there. We appreciate the income aspect of day visitors, a balance of the two is always a good idea.
Lovely hotel in a private location away from the hustle and bustle of scooters. We stayed in an oceanview bungalow. The bed was very comfortable. The front porch was cool and relaxing. The many pools were lovely and clean. Breakfast was enjoyable and simple. They have scooter hire at the hotel which is great!

AustraliaBed was very uncomfortable. Definitely could be improved. Everything else was superb.
Infinity pool over Dream Beach was "a dream!" Cabins with the beach view were divine. Loved going to sleep to the sound of the ocean waves crashing on the beach. Hiring a scooter to get around the island was cheap and easy.
