How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The surrounding area is abit sketchy, however the hotel made sure to have a staff to receive us when we returned at night and even when we had ordered food from gojek. Was very appreciative of it!
Staff tried their absolute best to make us feel comfortable and the room was great with the bed being a highlight of stay!

Windows were filthy. The restaurant food wasn't good. Wine was too expensive.
The cleaning staff did a great job cleaning the room everyday. Spacious room and with comfortable king bed. The rain shower was great too.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel! All the staff were very friendly. The highlight for us was definitely the exceptional service provided by Guest Relations Officer Ms Stephanie. She went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect and truly made our stay feel special.. The hotel itself was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. I’ll definitely highly recommend..

There is no P sign light on the door. Have to open manually and put signage. Quite old school if you ask me.
Even though i stay at smoking room but the room doesnt smell cigarette that much.

The surrounding. There are quite some unclean area with homeless people surrounding the building. Do not look safe to walk out. Walked out to convenience shop around 8pm and McD was being dragged by a local for donation. Next is the hotel is located next to a mosque, wake up alarm at 5.30am.
All the staff are extremely friendly and helpful!

Opposite to the hotel sewage water channel is located and gives bad smells.

I'm all ok.. I have no complains!
The staff were lovely! They were so friendly and really put u at ease.. from the front receptionists to the waitresses at the restaurant and the live band during dinner. I really enjoyed myself. If I recall correctly their lovely staffs were Ayu, Kay and Natalia! Kudos to them for a great job! 👏🏼 👏🏼 👏🏼 oh.. and the breakfast set was enjoyable and BBQ dinner was lovely.

The pool area where the lounge chairs were didn’t seem very well kept (there were many puddles of water).
The service was excellent, particularly Ayu at the front desk who made sure everything we needed was done. She gave us recommendations for dinner that we thoroughly enjoyed too. Breakfast was also great with a rather wide spread of choices (from local food, or continental breakfast, to fresh fruit and omelet/egg station as well as waffle/pancake station).

Nothing that I don't like during my stay in the four point by sheraton batam.
Very thing in during my stay is very good. The front dest personal is very courteous while check-in and during check out. The staff from the restaurant is very good and their service is excellent. I love it so much. I feel like a king and queen during my stay. Love it so much.

The friendly and attentive staff. It was our 2nd time there and they are so friendly and 1 even remembered me after few months. We had a door issue in one of the room and they attended to it almost immediately.

The breakfast buffet spread was delicious. All the staffs are helpful and friendly especially Ayu and (intent) Natelie. I would like to thank the young man from the bar for serving me. I was late and the bar was closed but in order not to disappoint me, he did my order and also provided me tidbits to go along.

The gym - it would be good to have at least one bench to do free weights bench press. But it is a minor setback. It still is good enough to work out in other ways.
The Front counter staff were very friendly and helpful. They were attentive and took the initiative to check if we needed any help. Staff in the restaurants made the experience comfortable for my family. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. We are really satisfied. Special shout-out to Billy and Angel for their help and attentiveness.
