I can't actually say there was anything that I didn't like about this resort - it was better than we expected and super reasonably priced.

The breakfast at the cafe was incredibly delicious, I think the set menu for included breakfast is a bit limiting. The banana bread was AMAZING, and the coffee was my absolute favorite. It was really quiet, peaceful, clean and a unique experience. They clearly thought out every little detail when planning the resort, I liked that you could charge your expenses to your room and pay at the end, I loved the check in process, they sit you down with a cup of tea and take you to your room in a golf cart, the staff are all friendly and helpful and the vibe of the resort is like a tropical jungle get away.

The food menu is quite limiting, especially if you're here for a few days. It's quite an odd menu it's hard to really find much you want to order each day and the portions outside breakfast are quite small. The service can be a little slow.

This is my 4th time at Grun and now with the added spa and gym area I love it even more - it's become my favourite hotel in Uluwatu! The gym is such a good gym for a hotel with proper weights equipment including a squat rack. There's a huge sauna and cold plunge as well as outdoor spa pool. You could easily never leave (which we didn't in 4 days!) The breakfast is amazing with huge portions. The surroundings are so peaceful but you're close enough by bike to anywhere else you would want to go. The staff are all lovely but we are always so impressed by Yandi in particular. He is so hardworking, he is always so quick to serve everyone and making sure everything around him is tidy and sorted, he's always smiling and positive and so lovely!

I loved the whole idea of living in the tree tops. The room was perfect as was the staff. I had never done yoga before but tried the free morning yoga class and now a big fan. I can thoroughly recommend the Grun Resort.

Excellent rooms, such great architecture. Staff were super friendly and very accommodating to our needs. The family room was located right next to a playground and a chicken coop. Our son had so much fun. The pool is a dream

Very nice treehouse resort, with nice gardens and amasing poolarea with beautiful vieuw of Uluwatu. The hotel did an extra effort for my birthday and did some rearrangements for a romantic dinner and helped my girlfriend with the surprise witch was greatly appriciated!

This resort is the perfect place to stay if you are looking for somewhere with the facilities of a large resort but want a more boutique feel. The standard of service is excellent, everyone is friendly and have been the most helpful! Poolside service is brilliant, room was great and food excellent. Massage times were always available for the time we requested on the day. Perfect stay.

Loved the resort, so much to do and so much available - felt like a queen. Loved going to the infinity pool and really recommend if you stay to grab the breakfast on top. Well worth the money

The only not perfect thing are the mosquitoes, but as the hotel is in the middle of nature I guess it cant be changed. Repellent spray was provided both at the restaurant and in the rooms.

Absolutely lovely staff! The room was very nice, cozy and clean. Amazing view from the pool, and super comfortable sun beds to relax on! The water in the shower had good pressure. Would love to stay here again soon.

It was so quiet that you just had the sounds of the forest, and the food was great. But the staff were endlessly helpful and communicative. The treehouse studios were as good as they looked online and so spacious - great value for money. As a solo traveller I was able to switch off there; and also just grab a scooter which was about 7 minutes to the main beaches and road of shops and cafes and bars in Uluwatu! Free yoga in the mornings and the breakfast is great. But the staff make the place!

Only very small things; The water flow in the shower was a bit inconsistent and the hot tub wasn’t open yet, which was a shame. The property however was only at soft opening, but we weren’t aware of this.

Beautiful setting nestled in the hills of Uluwatu. Great decor of the rooms and property generally, very stylish. Great pool with amazing view, with great service and food (plus the breakfast was fantastic). The staff were super friendly and helpful.

Only thing is the mosquitoes however this cannot be helped as the hotel is basically in the jungle. Also the only suggestion would be having more water bottle refill stations for guests to use not only at reception.

The aroma essences (sticks) has a very intense and specific smell, you put them all around at the breakfast and as for me it is impossible to eat. (We tried once but I can not cope with the smell), maybe as a suggestion you burn less of them at the eating space

We like literally everything. It is an absolutely unique and beautiful place. Villas are great, the level of cleanliness is outstanding, property is amazing, as well as the view. We love the concept! And also three kittens at the reception that was rescued by one of the employees literally stole my heart. Huge thanks for this experience!
