How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The location was isolated with lots of dogs at night.
The owner was amazing and she prepared my breakfast earlier to catch the bus.

The lady always smiling and looked so happy. The location was super quiet with small shops scattered nearby. Breakfast included, beds and pillows comfortable, beautiful garden area in front of our rooms. If there was a mini fridge and/or more hot water for showers (lasted approx 3 min) I would give 10/10. Overall, it was a wonderful place to stay!

We booked very last minute around 8, just 10 minutes before we arrived. It was no problem at all, the room was ready and we where welcomed. The staff was super friendly and asked what we wanted for breakfast the next morning. The room itself is very nice and the bed is super comfortable. You have a small terrace outside that connects to the garden, very nice to have breakfast in the morning. Definitely would come back and recommend to stay here.

Nothing! My stay was perfect
The host could not have been nicer! I made a mistake with the days I wanted to stay and the host made all the arrangements to allow me to have a stress free stay. The morning breakfast was fantastic and the room was clean and quiet. Could not recommend enough.

Everything very clean, the bed was comfortable and the breakfast super delicious. I had a very good sleep, because the place is very quiet and still your not far away from the city. Also they come to clean every day your room. So i can definitely only recommend to stay here.

No ceiling Fan, only AC.
I had an amazing stay, room is very clean. Staff is very helpful and sweet, they have rental Scooter as well to Roam around in Ubud. They give breakfast as well, simple and delicious. I recommend Intan guest house for couple. We stayed there for 3 nights. Shout out to Maddy for the Hospitality.

Perfect stay in Ubud, highly recommend. Breakfast is delicious, the family are lovely, and the garden is beautiful. We have stayed here twice and wouldn't stay anywhere else in Ubud now.

Bed was a little hard but still fine. AC didn't work at times but was overall great.
The staff were so lovely, welcoming and helpful. Delcious breakfast each morning, included. Excellent location. Close to the centre but very quiet. Beautiful property! Clean and spacious rooms. Rooms were cleaned and made everyday. Warm shower.

The host family was really really nice. They made delicious breakfast and the room was very tidy. They took co much care of my daughter and me that my daughter was very sad when we had to leave. We will definitely come again! Farewell, the warmhearted landlord and the beautiful landlady! See you~

A wonderful guesthouse. The owner is very kind, gentle, and charming. She will surely help you with your stay. The rooms are kept clean with daily cleaning, and the breakfast is delicious. I especially recommend the nasi goreng made by owner. The area is calm and the rooms are quiet, but it is conveniently close to the center of Ubud, convenience stores, and currency exchange offices. You can also walk to the regular performances of Gunung sari and Tirta sari held every weekend in Peliatan. I would definitely like to stay here again when I go to Bali.

I had absolutely nothing to complain about.
Very enjoyable stay at this property, helpful staff, very good breakfast which they served me even after the regular serving breakfast hours. Garden is very beautiful, quite room. very clean.

Didn't have hot water in shower and the dogs were barking too much.

We stayed during December. Even now when we think of Bali it would always be about this stay. We had a wonderfully homely experience during our stay. The host was exceptionally helpful and welcoming. We felt right at home. They helped us by renting bike at an affordable price bike. We will definitely choose this place whenever we come back. The breakfast was yummy. The rooms were made everyday. We began our Bali trip here, explored various places, and stayed at different accommodations, but we consistently found ourselves missing this particular stay. Highly recommended!

A few small dogs that guard the place may bark but they are not aggressive, plus the owner tells them to shut up when you enter the place,m which is an appreciated effort from him
You understand why this place is so well reviewed : - owners are very friendly - big and nice breakfast is included - you take your breakfast on your "private" terrace close to the trees, it is like a relief to wake up this way - room is really clean and modern. It has everything you need : air conditioning, bed tables with lights, a wardrobe, etc
