How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Very maintained low key hotel, quite clean with nice green decors. Room is alright for short stay, with friendly staff. A little out of town but close to the highway which is what i needed.

My friends stayed in room 302 which had a moldy leaking ceiling in the shower that looked like it was gonna burst. One of the bedspreads was dirty too. You need to be strong enough to get your suitcases up the 3rd floor with the stairs. During our stay they never came to clean the rooms or change the towels. If not for room 302, I would have given this a 9 out of 10.
Check in was easy. I stayed in room 301, which was a perfectly clean room with watercooker, good shower and very spacious. The neighbourhood is quite calm and silent. There is a waterdispenser in the hall that gets replaced frequently.

The parking space is very small.

Actually the facilities are good but they are not well maintained. Like TV in my room was not working, parking are is very limited, and the location is in residential area, far from public facilities. The breakfast was full of carbo, nasi goreng , bihun goreng, kentang sambal goreng, goreng indomie mixed with egg
the ambiance is good, and the house is nice, with good architecture

no lift, so if you bring big luggage, it will be challenging to bring upstairs. reception is not 24 hours, thus a bit challenging when you have check in early in the morning.
staffs are very helpfull & friendly. location is good. it is good for short stay with small luggage ☺️ breakfast menu is changed everyday.

The rooms weren't 100％ clean. Not too bad, but not perfect. Also the towels were smelly/musty. But still very good value for money.
Beautiful building. Romantic restaurant with delicious coffee.

No personal water, collect from communal water station. All the towels looks like rags. The steps in stairs are too steep
Spacious Room, clean bathroom, friendly staff. I arrive late at night and someone still receive me. Good neighborhood.

The rooms looked clean but were frowsy. The pillows smell fusty too. We came very late at nite and already asked for an extra bed (brought my 3 kids) but it was not ready. And according to the house keeper he did not know anything about it while the CS was not around. Confirmed the day after she said the extra bed was limited and no more available when we arrived. We had breakfast late, my kids went before me and they said the rice was dried. Seems the staff did not refill it. But when I came after they refill it with new cooked rice. There were 2 cats. I am in a phobia with a cat.
Nice rooms with good design. The house feels homey. And the location is near my family's residence. Resto is nice and the staff served nicely.

There are only two things prevent me to rate BAD (3) to this guest house, instead I rate Dissapointing (4). The air con worked well as it is sunny season and very hot in Semarang. And friendly staffs at the front desk & during breakfast.

Big giant ants that all of sudden comes out of nowhere 😅 I guess its the downside of staying at a green place.
I like the cleanliness, the bed, the AC, the fact that they have cafe downstairs also the meeting room, so its easy to have business meeting while staying for business trip there. Everything works perfectly!
